NEEDS MORE GAS: Watch arsonists set fire to themselves in addition to business [VIDEO]
A Bakersfield, CA business named “Servicio de Imigracion” fell victim to an attempted arson attack very early Monday morning. We don’t know if the two men were celebrating the new year by burning the business or if they were disgruntled (former?) customers, but they brought a couple of gallons of a mildly flammable liquid and doused the business.
They were unprepared for what happened when they set the flammable liquid ablaze. The first video has audio.
Here’s more…
As the title says, they should have brought a couple of five-gallon cans full of gasoline if they wanted to do it right… and barbeque themselves while they were at it. The screams were the icing on the schadenfreude cake.
CHICAGO *IS* THE WILD WEST: Brazen gang violence continues
Lori Lightfoot: “Crime is down.”
This is “crime is down” in Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago.
This shooting incident occurred this morning at a Citgo at 63rd and Racine, just blocks from CPD’s 7th District.
Remember this episode, along with countless other similar incidents, when you cast your ballot in February. pic.twitter.com/GUP3JuxLwK
CALIFORNIA ‘ZERO CASH BAIL’: 70% of offenders released on ‘zero bail’ have this in common
What do they have in common? They committed more crimes before their trial.
From FoxNews:
A California district attorney has found that more than 70% of criminal suspects released on $0 bail between 2020 and 2021 in his county committed new crimes.
The California Judicial Council in April 2020 implemented the statewide Emergency Bail Schedule, or $0 bail, which supporters say makes the criminal justice system more fair for those who cannot afford to get released.
“When over 70% of the people released under mandated $0 bail policies go on to commit additional crime(s), including violent offenses such as robbery and murder, there is simply no rational public safety-related basis to continue such a practice post-pandemic, especially in light of the increasing violent crime rates across California,” Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig said in a Monday statement.
Folks, this isn’t rocket science.
But it might as well be for supporters of zero cash bail here in Illinois. Those politicians have compassion for violent criminals and contempt for law-abiding gun owners.
Auto-renewals for FOID cards for those with prints on file to start Jan. 1st
Our friends over at the Illinois State Police put out a press release touting that automatic FOID renewals will begin January 1, 2023 for those who have fingerprints on file. Each time you purchase a firearm, upon the FTIP approval, the FOID card will automatically be renewed for a ten-year period from that date.
Here’s the press release.

DO SOMETHING FOR OTHERS – WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA: Volunteer opportunities this Saturday, Dec. 17 at Camp Butler in Springfield
This Saturday morning, starting at about 10:30a.m. or so, volunteers will get to work at the Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield to place about 25,000 wreaths on the headstones of graves there as part of Wreaths Across America.
Pastor Steve Holden is among the organizers of the event and he invited our GSL family (and other patriotic Americans) to join him Saturday to help recognize America’s veterans.
Not familiar with this awesome program? We gotcha covered. You might want to have a tissue or two handy. It can become kind of dusty.

Go VOTE! RFN.
Go out and vote. Right now.
Thank you!
OFFICER DOWN: Going ‘fetal’ nearly leads to dead Chicago cop
Chicago Police have zero support from the mayor and city council. The cops there are paralyzed with fear of using force to enforce the law.
Because of this, things like this happen. A police officer was nearly run over. By his own squad car.
Fair warning, video NOT safe for work.
Meanwhile, in Chicago… pic.twitter.com/zSXotN0P1T

GSL Decatur Meeting Wed. Eve Cancelled; Peoria on for Thursday evening
We regret that both our primary and secondary locations for the Decatur GSL meeting have both fallen unavailable.
Coz’s Pizza is very optimistic that they will be open for our February meeting – assuming Joe Biden doesn’t pull some national lockdown bravo sierra upon taking office.
In better news, our Peoria GSL meeting is set to take place Thursday evening. It will take place in nearby Metamora. If you need the address, call or (better yet) text John at 217 649-3702.
Next week’s meetings in Rantoul and Charleston are both all-green for taking place.
We apologize for the short notice.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg DEAD.
Say goodbye Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Say hello to Justice Amy Coney Barrett.
In the meantime, break out the popcorn as America’s gun grabbers and leftists lose their pooh.
GunNews Magazine: July 2020 Issue
GunNews Magazine, GSL’s monthly journal, has had circulation curtailed by about 25% due to Kung-flu restrictions. With that in mind, we’ve uploaded it to our server for our members and friends to download and enjoy.
This will likely be the last month we regularly upload it.
We’re back!
Sorry for the delay in posting. Our hosting provider has thrown us some curve balls and I couldn’t log in.
Obviously, that’s now fixed (partially, at least).
