Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has signed SB1771, Knife Rights' bill repealing the state's antiquated ban on switchblade (automatic) knives and possession of knives over four inches in length "with intent to go armed." a vague law subject to abusive interpretation. As of July 1, 2014, there are no longer any per se illegal knives in Tennessee.
Last year Knife Rights passed Knife Law Preemption in Tennessee ensuring that no local jurisdiction can have regulations more restrictive than state law. This means that existing restrictions that banned automatic knives or limited blade length in...

College Anglers Face Rising Ouachita River
College anglers will have to figure out where postspawn bass will be headed on the rising Ouachita River Friday and Saturday during the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Central Regional.
University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) angler Nick LaDart lives about five minutes from the river and has fished it all his life, so he knows the Ouachita’s seasonal quirks. “It is going to be tough because we had almost 4 inches of rain Sunday night, and the river is supposed to rise 4 to 5 feet by Saturday.”
When he practiced on Monday, LaDart noticed the water was muddy everywhere he went....

"I'm just glad it went to a good home," Headley told nj.com.
The 829-pound bear measures six feet and 11 inches from nose to tail, making it easily the largest bear ever taken in New Jersey's...
Video: 1,000-yard Off-hand Shot with .50 BMG Barrett M107
Most people probably can't count on one hand (or even one finger) the number of people they know who can shoot a Barrett M107 accurately while standing. When the shot approaches the 1,000-yard mark, that number drastically decreases towards zero. In this video, however, former Army Ranger, sniper team leader, and current rifle instructor Ryan Cleckner tackles the task. To keep this in perspective, a M107 weighs about 37 pounds loaded.
