Tennessee Set to Announce $500MM Economic Development Project
This morning in Maryville, Tennessee, Governor Bill Haslam, the Blount (County) Development Partnership and other Tennessee commerce officials will announce an immense new development project for Blount County. State sources say the new Alcoa-based manufacturing project has an estimated cost in excess of $530 million dollars will create in excess of 600 firearms industry-focused new jobs to the Alcoa/Knoxville Area. Sources also tell the Outdoor Wire Digital Network that Advanced Munitions International LLC (AMI) is the industry principal in the announcement. Yesterday, AMI, formerly known as Advanced Tactical Armament Concepts, LLC of Payson, Arizona, announced a new corporate structure and leadership team headed by Mark Kresser. Kresser will also join the company's Board of Directors, headed by AMI Founder and Executive Chairman Jim Antich. AMI will continue all Payson, Arizona operations in addition to the Tennessee expansion. FBI: 2014 LEOKA Report Released
An account of an unprovoked attack is just one of dozens of detailed narratives recounting the felonious deaths of law enforcement officers in the United States in 2014. The accounts are a central component of the latest Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA) report, issued Monday, which shows that 96 law enforcement officers were killed in the line of duty last year—51 as a result of felonious acts and 45 in accidents.
