Before I die, I want to shoot a full-auto Thompson machine gun, for one simple reason: Warren Zevon’s song Roland the Headless Thompson gunner. The line “Roland aimed his Thompson gun, he didn’t say a word” gets me every time. I’d also like to shoot a genuine Civil War Henry rifle – with a shooting buddy with as thick a Hungarian accent as my dear departed father. What’s on your firearms bucket list?
