Ammo Test uses a Glock 21 with Lonewolf 45-40S conversion barrel. He is shooting 40 super. It is a .450 winmag case trimmed down to 10mm length and necked down to 40 cal. Rather impressive velocities. Upwards of 1700 fps.

Teludyne Tech $1200 Moszilla Rifle

Teludyne Tech inventors of the StraightJacket Barrel System is now building custom target Mosin Nagant rifles they’re calling the Moszilla. The StraightJacket Barrel System consists of a thin tube that surrounds the factory barrel with a proprietary substance injected between the barrel and tube. Teludyne claims their system helps increase accuracy, improve heat dissipation and reduce recoil.

PWS Releases DI Stripped Upper Receiver Kits

Primary Weapon Systems (PWS), known for their piston rifle systems, has announced the release of stripped DI upper receiver kits (no BCG or charging handle). The kits come complete with 1/8″ twist barrel, .223 Wylde chamber, PWS muzzle device (brake or flash hider depending on the model), and keymod fore-end. All PWS DI receivers are 100% American-made, manufactured at PWS’ facility in Idaho.

Vietnam to License-Produce The Galil ACE

The good news for IWI continues to roll in: Army Recognition relays an Interfax report that Vietnam will shortly begin license production of the Galil ACE 31 and 32 rifles. This contract, which will produce rifles to supplant the ageing AKM rifles in use by the Vietnamese Army, does not represent a new relationship between IWI and Vietnam, the latter having used Galil rifles and Negev machine guns in limited and specialist roles for a few years now.

Maximus Arms Releases Left-Handed Custom 1911

Maximus Arms, known for their 100% US made high end 1911 has released a left handed variant. While I am not a left handed shooter, my wife is.  We have learned with her that we have four different school of thought, find a dedicated left handed pistol that may or may not fit her hand, find one of the ambi pistols that fits her hand as best it can, shoot a right handed pistol that fits her well left handed and learn to adapt or just flat out learn to shoot right handed.  We ended up going to second choice, and finding a happy medium with a S&W M&P40c that fits OK and has ambi controls.  So seeing a company start to offer something like the 1911 in a dedicated left handed pistol is really nice to see.

TK CUSTOM S&W Model 460X in .45 RAPTOR

TK Custom, an Illinois firm specializing in the manufacturer or Moon Clips and Moon Clip revolver conversions, are now able to convert S&W Model 460 X-Series revolvers to chamber the new .45 RAPTOR cartridge.

You may ask, because the 45 RAPTOR has the same performance as the .460 S&W, why would you do this? For a start it means you could use the same high powered big bore hunting cartridge with your semi-automatic carbine and your hunting handgun, secondly it has the added advantage of being able to use Moon Clips, enabling much faster reloading of the handgun.
