Guns Save Life

Having been to the NRA conventions in the past, I’ve seen the booths and as I get older, I appreciate the educational opportunities available at the gathering of the faithful at these mega-events.

The National Rifle Association rolled into Nashville these last few days.  We brought 80,000 members to celebrate freedom and liberty.  Along with all of us came a few hundred media types, and a few dozen misguided folks seeking to recreate past tyrannies.

Terrorist #1 before his brother ran over him in a bid to escape capture. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer Muslim jihadist.

If you couldn’t make it to the NRA’s Annual Meetings and Exhibits in the wonderful Nashville, Tennessee, here is a tiny taste of what you’re missing.

A cartoon from The Economist. We can only wonder what sort of bigoted caricatures they drew of black folks when civil rights activists were fighting segregation in 1960s America. While they might consider this cartoon satire, I consider it offensive.

Dear Illinoisans:

Today is election day.

Go vote.

Remember to support those who eschew tyranny.

Remember to punish those who promote tyranny.

And remember to vote as early and as often as they’ll let you.
