Sure, this story is not related to firearms, but this elderly man’s self-defense skills just have to be appreciated.

Security cameras outside a business capture the whole thing as two drunken men begin harassing an older man.  For a few moments the man just stood there as his younger adversaries got in his face and taunted him.

But when the elderly man’s patience ran out his lightning quick speed took over.  The first man to attack should have just stayed down as he came back for more and was once again put in his place.

Oh by the way, the elderly man turned out to be a former boxer.  Well, maybe I should not say “former”.

I felt like we needed a feel good story on the site to help restore faith in Americans.  Well this one fits the bill.  At a college baseball game fans were told that there would be no national anthem because of time restraints.

But even the fans who were there to watch our nation’s pastime understood that some things are more important than a mere game.

Instead of just being OK with no national anthem being sung, the fans took matters into their own hands and began singing it themselves.  The players on the field even stopped what they were doing to salute our nation’s flag during the anthem.

I’ve heard some pretty awful renditions of our anthem through the years, but this had to be one of the most beautiful I’ve heard.   So go ahead, be proud to be an American.
