17 Years After Gun Bans in Australia… Police Say Gun Crime is Out of Control
In 1996 Australia unloaded some of the most severe gun bans and gun confiscation programs on record. And for the guns that were not confiscated gun owners were forced to enter into license agreements and have their guns registered so the government knew what guns everyone had.

...‘Wow’: Journalist Attempts to ‘Debunk’ Anti-Gun Group’s List of ‘School Shootings in America Since Sandy Hook’ — Here’s What He Found
verytown for Gun safety, an anti-gun group formed by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and prominent gun control advocate Shannon Watts, released new data on Tuesday suggesting that there have been an average of 1.37 school shootings every single week in the U.S. since the deadly 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.
The anti-gun organization cites a total of 74 school shootings since Dec. 14, 2012. However, several of the shootings have come under scrutiny as some of them appear to have occurred off-campus and at least one may have been an instance of self-defense.
Journalist Charles C. Johnson dug deeper into Everytown’s data on Tuesday and published his findings on Twitter. He also criticized the fact that the group classified violent disputes and gang-related violence as “school shootings.”

I’d like to congratulate the USMC on this anniversary of D-Day, for all the great work they were doing in the Pacific while the Army conducted the largest amphibious assault in history.

David Letterman: “Private Handgun Ownership Has to Be Dealt With”
During the June 4 2014 airing of CBS’s Late Night, host David Letterman said private handgun ownership has to be dealt with, and he asked if everyone has to “have a family member who has been gunned down” before gun control is passed?
Letterman expressed his dismay that the crime of one man–Adam Lanza, Sandy Hook Elementary–did not change the laws for everyone. And he made the bogus claim that “a child or an underage boy or girl is shot and killed by a gun…daily.”

Mad Jack
The first thing the Nazi garrison on Vågsøy Island, Norway, would have heard when the British No. 3 Commando battalion landed on December 27, 1941, was the sudden blaring drone of bagpipes. One commando stood at the fore of the landing craft, facing the impending battle and playing the peppy, martial “March of the Cameron Men.” Upon coming to a halt onshore, the soldier jumped from the craft, hucked a grenade at the Germans, then drew a full sword and ran screaming into the fray.
