Man Finds ‘Dream Job’ in Teaching Others How to Build AK-47s
im Fuller is a retired electrician. He spent years wiring, welding and learning the high art of attention to detail in his craft. But for years he dreamed of a different line of work; he wanted to open up a company to build and sell reliable firearms. And in 2007, he and his wife Karen did just that.
“In my lifetime, we’ve gone from seeing people have large, nice walnut cases where they displayed their firearms; it was a status symbol,” Fuller, the president of Rifle Dynamics, told TheBlaze. “Nowadays people have to hide them in a locked case under the bed.”
Fuller has a passion for weapons, but he especially longs to see people learn to care for and develop a personal connection with their firearms. So in addition to teaching classes on rifle safety and familiarity in Las Vegas, he decided to offer classes where people can learn to build their own weapons.
“It is absolutely legal and possible to buy all the items you need to build your own rifle at home,” Fuller said. He’s right, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives states on its website, “per provisions of the Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968, 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, an unlicensed individual may make a “firearm” as defined in the GCA for his own personal use, but not for sale or distribution.”

Anti-Gun CA State Senator Yee Arrested
An anti-gun Senator charged with conspiring to illegally import firearms and sell without a license… But I thought he HATED firearms? His public record shows a long history of restricting 2nd Amendment rights of Californians.
California state Sen. Leland Yee was arrested on public corruption charges as part of several arrests made by the FBI Wednesday morning during a massive FBI sting.
U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag of the Northern District of California said that Yee and Raymond “Shrimp Boy” Chow, leader of the Chee Kung Tong Free Masons, were among 26 defendants charged in a federal criminal complaint.

Yee and Chow were arraigned before Federal Magistrate Judge Nathaniel Cousins in San Francisco Wednesday afternoon.
The federal criminal complaint, filed on March 24, was unsealed in San Francisco Wednesday, charging the defendants with firearms trafficking, money laundering, murder-for-hire, drug distribution, trafficking in contraband cigarettes and honest services fraud, the FBI announced.
Yee was charged with conspiracy to traffic in firearms without a license, and to illegally import firearms as well as a scheme to defraud citizens of honest services.
Ground Support For Military Vehicles
Ground support equipment is necessary for all military vehicles that work in the field and are designed to do big jobs for the military on the whole. While the vehicles are very sophisticated, they must have ground support to make sure that they are going to be able to carry out their missions effectively. Most of the time, the ground support gear must be tailored to just the one vehicle that it is designed to support. This means that the vehicle must have a special item that is going to work just for it when it is in the field.
The ground support technology that is needed for every vehicle is different, but it is still necessary regardless of whether or not the vehicle is very small or very large. There must always be a team on the ground that is going to stand in for the people piloting the vehicle to make sure that they are able to make the most of each mission. These missions are hard to complete, and many times the people who are in the mission need information that can only come from their ground support team. This means that it is impossible for these vehicles to do their work when they are not in the company of the right support gear. Support gear is made for every single vehicle to make sure that that vehicle is doing what it is suppo
Selection Criteria for Buying a Safe
Investing on a home safe will protect your valuables, ammo, and other important documents from burglary, flood, or fire –provided that you choose the right safe.
Do not spend a fortune on a safe that does not have the features you need. At times, we are tempted to take salespeople’s advice, but of course they would always be recommending the most expensive model. Before we proceed to the pointers in choosing the right safe, it’s good to know that some home safes come with insurance coverage as long as they meet required specifications.
Choosing the right safe should not be tricky or confusing – if you have clear points to consider:
1. Check out the safe’s fire rating – Most packaging shows the amount of time the safe can withstand fire without its contents combusting. The minimum fire rating is 30 minutes and the temperature the safe can tolerate depends on the items you will store inside. For example, papers will burn at 350 degrees Fahrenheit while computer discs and USB devices can only endure 150 degrees.
2. Inspect the cash rating – a significant indicator of the monetary value of the safe’s contents. A safe’s burglar resistance is measured through its door and wall strength, co
Training Begins In Texas School Marshal Program
The trainers from the new school marshal program began their first day of training in San Marcos on Monday. The program will allow a designated school official to carry a gun on campus.
19 participants are taking part in the class at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center in San Marcos. They will learn the curriculum of the program then take it back to their communities and train the school staff members who want to participate.
The program was created through the passage of House Bill 1099 in the last legislative session. It allows staff members to act as marshals in armed shooter and other emergency situations when police are still minutes away.
All prospective marshals must pass a mental health evaluation, attend active shooter and emergency situation training, and take ten times the amount of firearms training required for CHL holders.
North Carolina is the only other state to pass this legislation. It has yet to be implemented.

Banning Based On Looks
In a letter circulating on Capitol Hill, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., is demanding a ban on imported semi-automatic weapons because, in her words, they are “modeled closely after military firearms,” the Daily Caller reported Thursday.
“Many semiautomatic firearms on the market today do not have a military origin but are modeled closely after military firearms,” she wrote, citing the Gun Control Act of 1968. “These military-style firearms are not prohibited under the current import ban, even though they are functionally equivalent to prohibited rifles with a military origin.”

Lehigh Defense Announces Controlled Chaos Ammunition & Projectiles
Lehigh Defense is pleased to announce that we are releasing two new products for 2014.
The first is our Controlled Chaos Ammunition and Projectiles. The second is our line of Controlled Fracturing Bullets.
Our Controlled Chaos Technology
Our Controlled Chaos bullet is designed to penetrate to a specific depth and then fracture. This fracturing is initiated when the internal hydraulic pressure exceeds the hoop strength of the nose design.
At the time of fracture, a massive energy spike is released as the particles break away and radiate outward from the initial trajectory path.
This energy spike and the resulting temporary cavity send a shock wave through the animal’s circulatory and nervous systems, immediately shutting down the functioning of these systems.

5 Ways to Prepare Yourself for Shooting Day
Getting out to the shooting range is a quintessential part of gun ownership, but even the most avid enthusiasts don’t do it every day. As a result, it pays to follow established protocols as you prepare for a day at the range. Moving through your checklist provides the most failsafe method for crossing all your Ts; ensuring a smooth experience at the shooting range.
Preparing for a day at the range is best accomplished when you allow a window of time to get the job done. Starting preparations a couple days ahead of your trip leaves a cushion, in case unanticipated issues arise. There is nothing more disappointing than pulling the plug on a trip to the range, due to improper planning.
While the types of guns you own and your specific objectives at the range come to bear on your particular preparations, there are universal practices which should be followed, regardless of your individual approach. For a fruitful day at the range, follow these five tips to prepare for shooting day.
Clean Your Firearms – Routine maintenance keeps guns functioning flawlessly, so cleaning your weapons is an essential first step toward a successful trip to the range. Dust, dirt, and deposits left by ammunition each compromise the function of weapons. Not all damage and deterioration are present
Durbin On 1 Round Magazines
In a canned email:
I support efforts that address illegal possession and use of firearms. Common sense restrictions such as bans on multi-round magazines and assault weapons are supported by law enforcement officials who patrol our streets [by the "law enforcement officials who patrol our streets," Senator, or by the political hacks, appointed by gun-hating politicians, who presume to both command them and speak for them?]. I also support universal background checks to prevent the transfer of firearms without a background check by non-licensed gun sellers.

GRIP Act
U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) today introduced legislation that would prohibit any federal funding from being used to support a gun registry maintained by any other organization, including state and local governments.
The Gun-owner Registration Information Protection Act, or GRIP Act, would clarify existing law that bars the federal government from storing information acquired during the firearms background check process.
The GRIP Act would extend that prohibition to prevent any federal funding from being used to contribute to nonfederal gun registries. The Cochran measure has attracted 12 original cosponsors and has been endorsed by the National Rifle Association.
“The federal government should not play any role in misguided gun control initiatives that involve the storage or public distribution of personal information of law-abiding people who own or purchase firearms legally,” Cochran said.
“There is nothing in law today that says federal resources can’t be used, either intentionally or otherwise by a state or local government, to collect and store personally identifiable information related to legal firearm purchases and ownership. This legislation would close that loophole,” he said.
I Do Interviews with a Gun
Greeted by a handful of audible boos and jeers, Rick Perry was able to win over the audience when he took the stage during Jimmy Kimmel’s visit to Austin on Tuesday night. As part of a Kimmel’s week-long set of shows in association with South by Southwest, the longest-serving Texas governor chatted with the late-night host about his stance on marijuana legalization, his concealed-carry permit, and his future plans.
Perry attributed the Austin crowd’s initial harsh reception to the city’s unique character, one that differs from most of the rest of the state; he described Austin as “the blueberry in the tomato soup” that is the state of Texas. He managed to fall into the audience’s good graces later on by touting his support of minimizing penalties for minor drug offenses, his love for Willie Nelson, and recounting the time he jammed with ZZ Top on the drums in concert.
Kimmel later asked Perry about a reported story that he shot a coyote while jogging, which the governor con
