Dimensional Firearms “Shocker” Lower Receiver

Wed, 03/11/2015 - 09:09

Some things make me stop and appreciate a product, some things make me guffaw, and sometimes you run across a crazy product that combines both. The Dimensional Firearms LLC lower receiver is just that. Instead of reinventing a wheel, they have produced an original safety/selector marking scheme. Safe is a “peace” sign, semi “the bid” and full […]

Izmash Small Arms Factory – Before Concern Kalashnikov

Wed, 03/11/2015 - 06:08

YouTube user Misita1 has hidden away a promotional video from Concern Izmash before it became Concern Kalashnikov. The 90’s graphics are prevalent throughout, but it has a mesmerizing narrator who makes the Russian accent oddly attractive. The video includes a bold claim that the AN-94 is 1.5x more effective than any other small arm. I […]

Three years ago, we broke the news that Beretta was working on a dual-caliber 7.62x51mm/7.62x39mm rifle, which reportedly would be available in 2013. Gun Review: Ohio Ordnance Works HCAR

Tue, 03/10/2015 - 15:30

In May of 2014, I received a long-awaited email: HCAR's were finally available to order. The first edition package was impressive, with a choice of 4 colors (at no extra cost), hard case, custom or standard serial number, cleaning kit, owner’s manual, Kydex mag holder, 4 30 round BAR magazines, detachable flip-up iron sights, 100 rounds of ammo, free shipping, and access to an owner’s website with direct customer support from OOW. I got in line immediately, though in several years of gunsmithing and working in FFLs, I knew not to get impatient.

Bravo 18 AK accessories

Tue, 03/10/2015 - 13:48

Bravo 18 made accessories for the AK back in 2013.  The muzzle device is what caught my attention. I thought it was made of wood or papercraft due to the angular nature of the design. I could not find anything current on them and their website is down. Anyone know what happened to them?
