Fri, 08/15/2014 - 00:19

Week 20. So some of the tweaking did pull in some odd results, and I obviously did not check every link (1000 rd tumbler, etc…). I went a little more conservative with the data this week and spot checked a lot more. My overall goal is to add more data points so the quarterly summary […]

New Concealed Magazine Carrier, the SnagMag

Thu, 08/14/2014 - 05:00

Many people that carry concealed do not want to have all of the bulk that goes along with everything that you can put on your belt.  Carrying a spare magazine is always prudent though, allowing you to engage a threat and top off your pistol in the event that there might be more threats in […]

Lightning Review: Sintercore Tripwire Ambi Charging Handle

Wed, 08/13/2014 - 15:00

Somehow I have been drafted as “The Charging Handle” guy here at TFB. At first, I was suspect of the role, but have grown to enjoy it immensely. I have been witness to innovation on one of the most benign and often neglected AR parts. Also, I have been witness to some… interesting ideas. How […]

Earlier this year TFB writer Nathan S., who worked in the defense industry, told me he wanted to pursue his dream of working in the gun industry. Even though I knew this might mean I would lose one of my team members, I supported him, as I would any one else on my team. It […]

Shanghai Swat Training

Wed, 08/13/2014 - 06:08

This video says it is Shaghai Swat. However the commentator is speaking Mandarin. Not unusual but Shanghainese is the main spoken dialect of the region. Linguistics aside, this officer is running on a wrapped ankle and is getting all his shots. 120 secs par time seems a bit long for only 10 steel targets. Steel […]

Philippine Sniper Confidence Drill

The shooter uses, what looks like, a Springfield M1A to shoot balloons that his partner is holding relatively close to his own head.
