Opinion: Prepare for possibilities not probabilities
Cops and military personnel wear body armor not because they’re going to get shot, but because it could happen. Statistically speaking, the likelihood of getting shot on the job is remote, but nobody can dispute that cops get shot at and, therefore, those who wield guns for a living must prepare to shoot others and to get shot.

After returning from vacation Sunday, an Austin couple discovered that their home had been burglarized and thieves made off with $220,000 worth of goods. Suspects stole 45 guns, including 15 AR rifles, more than 1,000 rounds of ammo and a whole host of jewelry, valuable coins, antique family heirlooms and cash.
...Newtown tears down Lanza home (VIDEO)
The place where the home of Nancy Lanza once stood is now nothing but an empty lot after the city of Newtown, Conneticut, tore down the house where Adam Lanza’s Dec. 14, 2012 massacre began. The demolition, which started last week, was wrapped up Tuesday by heavy equipment leveling out freshly dumped dirt.

Ohio open carry marches in die in head-on collision (VIDEO)
Four members and supporters of a high-profile Richmond-area firearms rights group were killed in an early morning crash Friday near Dunkirk, Ohio.
Among those who died when their car collided with a tractor-trailer was Jason Spitzer III, the founder of The Right To Bear Arms RVA, a grass-roots group of Second Amendment supporters who are known for openly carrying their rifles and other firearms in neighborhoods and shopping districts.
Stephen Kim and Jimmy Higgins were also killed in the crash, according to local media. But the Hardin County Sheriff’s office has not released the identity of the fourth crash victim.

Don’t leave a gun in your unlocked car (VIDEO)
Police are concerned that a car prowler in Ravenna, Washington, is now armed. He stole a handgun, after finding it in a car he broke into. Police don’t know how the prowler was able to get into the locked garage of the apartment complex, but he’s seen on surveillance video trying the doors of several cars. Eventually he comes to a Toyota Scion that appears to be unlocked.

8 things I “love” about picking up brass
Just like gun cleaning, picking up brass is an inevitable side effect of shooting–and both of these activities present a, shall I say complicated, perhaps even love/hate, relationship to us dedicated shooters. Frankly, there’s not a lot I like about picking up brass–shoot, I don’t even reload.
