David Cameron Uses Paris Attacks to Push EU Gun Controls, While Finns, Czechs, and Others Share Concerns NRA – Institute for Legislative Action

Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- Before a similar quote was attributed to Rahm Emanuel, former-United Kingdom Prime Minister Winston Churchill supposedly stated, “never let a good crisis go to waste.”

While the quote is of questionable veracity, current-UK PM David Cameron seems to embrace the sentiment. Following November’s heinous terrorist attacks in Paris, the Tory leader no longer appears content to merely...

Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- Anti-gun doctors in in the Sunshine State may be feeling a little queasy after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit handed them a third straight loss in their ongoing challenge to a Florida law designed to protect patients from harassing and unwarranted grilling about firearm ownership.

Should these symptoms persist, the physicians should note they have a simple and...

Hillary Clinton NRA – Institute for Legislative Action

Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- A recent article in the Wall St. Journal theorizes that Hillary Clinton may suffer the same fate in her quest for the White House in 2016 that Vice-President Hubert H. Humphrey did in his race against then-former-Vice-President Richard M. Nixon in 1968.

Noting that Nixon defeated Humphrey by, in part, promising to get tougher on crime, Daniel Henninger writes, “The pieces are now falling into place for another law-and-order presidential campaign.”

CNN Reporters Come Out for Gun Control

CNN Reporters Come Out for Gun Control NRA – Institute for Legislative Action

Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- You know that a reporter supports gun control when he or she says that government officials who don’t stamp their feet for gun control lack “courage.”

It’s not just because some reporters flatter themselves by thinking that they occupy the moral and intellectual high ground on every issue under the sun. It’s also because ever since the Senate rejected President Obama’s gun control package in April 2013, gun control supporters have been trying to convince the public that there’s no possible reason for opposing...

Yes, This is a Clue We Have New Gun Owners

Sat, 12/19/2015 - 08:48

By Rob Morse

Slow Facts

Louisiana- (Ammoland.com)- Some California gun shops reported sales were up by over 400 percent the last several weeks.  Other shops described a change in the type of customers entering their stores.  An unusual number were new customers.  They estimated 30 to 40 percent of their customers were first time gun buyers.  These new gun buyers were also different in another important way.  They did not want to buy their gun and put it on a shelf “just in case”.  These recent gun buyers immediately asked about firearms training.  I imagine, but could not confirm, that gun shops with a shooting range and classrooms saw a larger surge in sales compared to the shops who did not.<...

Michigan’s Last Elk Hunt of 2015 is Complete

Michigan Department of Natural Resources

Michigan -(Ammoland.com)- Although it may not feel like a Michigan December, the final 2015 elk hunt drew to a close last weekend.

“We had crazy weather conditions for this year’s late elk hunt,” said Department of Natural Resources wildlife biologist Shelby Hiestand. “In a typical year, we would have had a ton of snow on the ground, where hunters could track and pattern elk and really have a better chance at spotting them against the white snow.”

Although conditions may not have been typical for the...
