How close and how dangerous it got: Clinton archives on gun manufacturer settlement demands.

…relating to settlement terms to demand in the lawsuits against gun manufacturers (which were then being brought by New York, some other jurisdictions, and private plaintiffs, and held the risk of bankrupting the industry.

“Those who forget the past…”

Mandatory to all who was in his teens and maybe early 20s back in 1,999. David Hardy brings us a stark reminder on how close the Second Amendment got to become a joke under the Clinton era. This is a sad case. If only there was a system in place that would teach kids to…

STOP
DON’T TOUCH
LEAVE THE AREA
TELL AN ADULT

…whenever the come across an unattended firearm. Wait, there is the Eddie Eagle program that has been doing exactly that for decades now, but only where the politicians and the Gun Control idiots don’t interfere.

Gun Control is Ignorance.
Ignorance creates beautiful young corpses that can be used for fundraising.

Newly released August records show that the FBI posted 1.7 million background checks required of gun purchasers at federally licensed dealers, the highest number recorded in any August since gun checks began in 1998. The numbers follow new monthly highs for June (1.5 million) and July (1.6 million), a period which spans a series of deadly gun attacks — from Charleston to Roanoke — and proposals for additional firearm legislation.

But they keep telling us that less and less Americans own or even want guns! And they have their “polls” and “studies” to prove it!

Oh yes, it is the same old rednecks people buying more guns. In fact, you can trace them all to a trailer park somewhere in Kentucky, right?

Brace For Impact

Fri, 09/04/2015 - 22:04

So a news story caught my eye today.  An 11 year old shot and killed a 16 year old in what the police are saying was an attempted break in.  I have no details on the case besides what was reported through various media sources.  The police say there was some evidence that the teen tried to break in a few times before.  On the other hand, a neighbor claims that it wasn’t a home invasion and that two boys had argued before the shooting.

Beyond that I know nothing about the case.  But seeing as this story has been covered by everybody so far, with the predictable politically polarized differing slants.  Because of this, and the fact that it took place in St. Louis (with everything else that has happened there in the last year) it has all the makings of a summer blockbuster of a media circus.

Thoughts?

CSGV reveals their definition of “gun violence.”

Fri, 09/04/2015 - 20:25

Either at CSGV Social Media HQ (Known as the broom closet) had an onset of Freudian Slip or he/she was already hitting the hooch celebrating Labor Day weekend, but they actually came out and admitted what do they call Gun Violence.

So, we need to call the CDC and the NTSB and tell them that there are no Car Accidents but we are now known as “Car Violence.” Those who end their life with pills? Pharmaceutical Violence. Ad we have Rope violence by those who hang themselves. Franklin/Tesla Violence by those who perish by electrical accidents. Dihydrogen Monoxide Violence by those who died by drowning….

Imagine the possibilities!

Apparently my note was not liked by CSGV, but Sebastian took them behind the woodshed, nice and easy.

Ouchie!

The Mass killings Moms Demand do not talk about.

It has been a deadly start to September in Chicago, with at least 13 people fatally shot over 36 hours across the city this week.Nine of those killings occurred on Wednesday, including the apparent accidental shooting death of an 11-year-old boy. That appears to be the deadliest day in Chicago since July 5, 2003, when there were 10 homicides, according to a Tribune analysis of records kept by the Chicago Police Department.

To begin with, it is Chicago, the crowning jewel of Gun Control. And next most of the victims are probably minorities.  Shannon Watts would cringe at the thought of having to mingle with them for other than have their landscaping done and in the quickest manner possible.

No, she wants white good-looking corpses, preferably recorded via GoPro cameras.

So an 8 foot cobra is on the loose in Orlando.

This begs the question: what’s good CCW for a poisonous snake?

When I lived in South Dakota I shot a 6 foot rattle snake with a load of CCI 38 special bird shot.  It was effective but only up close, a lot closer than I’d ever like to get to a cobra.

Then again, most of Orlando is a gun free zone  (a lot of land is owned by Disney and is private property even if it is not inside one of the parks) so it may be a moot point.  I wonder if they are going to have to implement a snake free zone policy too?  I feel it will be just as effective in preventing snake related disaster.

But we need more laws…..right.

Moms Demand: Lies and Moms should not defend their kids.

Thu, 09/03/2015 - 06:00

First the lie: It was not a “schoolyard scuffle” as it happened in a public park that happens to be near a school. Moms do love to say anything happening near a school constitutes a school shooting, so par for the course.

But to insinuate that a mother should not bring the most efficient tool to defend her kid against two 18-year-old thugs and a third-party who was underage is just plain idiotic. Or are we seeing the demise of Motherhood here? Even if it is your own flesh and blood, you should not defend their lives because….what? It just does not compute in my head. Do they want to excise the principle of Mama Bear and demand that mothers only use “safe methods” against those who want to hurt their children? Lemonades? Quilts? Cute Signs to Congress?
