Finding a 7.62x39 AR platform rifle is easy these days. Finding one that works flawlessly isn't. So we approached the CMMG Mutant with more than a bit of skepticism. After our first 500 rounds, our skepticism is fading. The Mutant is performing like a champ. And we have one of the new pistols, too, which may explain why I don't have any eyebrows.

The city of Los Angeles just approved a confiscatory ban on magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition. Law-abiding citizens will now have 60 days to either sell off (to a licensed gun dealer), turn over to police or render permanently inoperable any legally grandfathered magazines capable of holding 10 or more rounds.
