Guns Save Life

June 5th marked the biggest day ever for Guns Save Life with 172,640 unique visitors stopping by nearly a half-million collective times.

Wow.

The site is running sluggishly because we usually have roughly a 20th of that.

We’re flattered and humbled to see well over 100,000 unique visitors stopping by our website for two days running, especially considering our first six-figure day was earlier this spring.

Thanks to all of you for helping make GunsSaveLife.com what it is!

We’ve been buried since Tuesday here at GunsSaveLife.com.

The traffic seems directed at our stories on Smith and Wesson discontinuing customer support for their Third Generation autopistols and the story asking if Open Carry Texas was a false-flag operation for Michael Bloomberg.

Two 17-year-old hoodlums tried to hold up a convenience store, thinking they would profit from other people’s hard work.

It didn’t work out so well for them as the clerk, unbeknownst to them, had a concealed carry license and knew how to use his gun to perforate the rifle-wielding half of the dynamic duo.

Sadly, the wounds were not fatal.

Mark Manson writes a piece on the latest spree killer.  He offers up some interesting points, but the best paragraph, hands down, is this one:

For a country that is so single-mindedly obsessed with terrorism, it’s jaw-dropping that almost nobody recognizes that school shooters use the exact same strategies to disseminate fear and their twisted agendas throughout society. Terrorists use violence and mass media coverage to promote political or religious beliefs; school shooters use violence and mass media coverage to promote their personal grievances and glorification.

That’s a dead body.  Right underneath a “NO GUNS” sign over the door.

Criminals apparently didn’t care if their was a “NO GUNS” sign around or not.  It’s not like a felon committing a felony carrying a gun is going to care about some silly sign, right?
