ISRA is calling on suburban gun owners to spring into action to thwart our opponents and let them know gun owners aren’t apathetic and asleep at the switch.

The gun controllers are pulling out all the stops to build support for a major clampdown on your right to keep and bear arms and to undo the concealed carry law.  The past few weeks have seen several announcements for gun control recruitment meetings at various suburban locations.

In recent months, Detroit’s police chief has come out in staunch support of that city’s residents defending themselves against criminal attack.

If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Thursday.

Urban police chiefs are typically in favor of gun control or reluctant to discuss the issue, but Craig on Thursday was candid about how he’s changed his mind.

“When we look at the good community members who have concealed weapons permits, the likelihood they’ll shoot is based on a lack of confidence in this Police Department,” Craig said at a press conference at police headquarters, adding that he thinks more Detroit citizens feel safer, thanks in part to a 7 percent drop in violent crime in 2013.

How embarrassing!  A man was robbed just before 6am today around the corner, literally, from Chicago Mayor Rahm’s fancy digs in Chicago’s North Side.

Chicago isn’t safe, folks.  Unlike Rahm, you don’t have 24/7 armed bodyguards.

Chicago (Tribune) – Police are investigating an early morning robbery around the corner from Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s North Side home.

A man was walking down the street around 5:45 a.m. when a white van pulled up, stopped and the driver got out, Town Hall Police Sgt. Dennis Connelly said.

“What are you doing around here?’’ the driver asked, according to Connelly.

The 29-year-old man replied, “I can’t hear you, I’m deaf,’’ the sergeant said.

Paging all thugs!   Kroger is taking all weapons away from their security staff.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (10TV) – Changes are in the works when it comes to how Kroger stores handle their security.

The grocery chain has confirmed with 10TV that it is in the process of transitioning to unarmed security guards across the company.

…The security company says in the letter that effective March 29, its guards will be “completely unarmed–no weapons, no handcuffs, no chemical repellant, no baton, etc.”

They can use stern words and harsh language to stop bad guys?

Clearly Kroger’s top executives don’t understand that the only thing that stops bad guys with evil in their hearts is a good guy with a gun.

In a post on Facebook, the Ft. Hood killer (the recent one) posted:

“It is stupid to me that anyone can have easy access to a powerful weapon without being mentally evaluated. This makes the government indirect accomplice… These bastards have perfected their way of attacking studying previous massacres to gain publicity and their minute of fame as a villain. But thanks to Hollywood and the sensational profiling by the media [they] give more power to those intelligent cowards.”

What a cowardly sicko.

Thank heavens he offed himself when confronted by an armed (female) MP.

Bass Pro is low looking into the barrel of a lawsuit seeking class-action status after one of the instructors they had teaching Illinois concealed carry classes in their stores was recently decertified for corner cutting on his courses.

James Andel was an instructor teaching for the Illinois Security Guard College.

Today, Mr. Andel is dodging phone calls and emails from hundreds of angry former students who paid good money to get sham training.

Some undoubtedly assumed that since Mr. Andel was teaching at Bass Pro Shops stores that he was a competent instructor.  Others were looking for the cheapest training they could find.

And it came back to bite them on the rear.

As for Bass Pro, they failed to vet the instructor they had teaching in their store.

We were forwarded a copy of an invitation to attend a town hall meeting on concealed carry.  It should be a hoot!  Be sure to call and RSVP.  Leave out your ideological persuasion when you RSVP.

Of all of the homes Mr. Bad Guy could have picked to victimize, he chose badly in picking the Pena family (not pictured above) home.

He chose really badly.

WINTER HAVEN, Florida (WSAV) – When a stranger tried to break into the Pena family home, the Penas were ready for him.

“If this guy would’ve stayed home, he’d have been alive right now,” a neighbor told Fox 13 Orlando.

Early Monday morning, the Penas woke to the sound of 40-year-old Mitchell Large trying to break into their Winter Haven home through a porch door. Undeterred by a warning shot, Large burst into the kitchen.

It seems almost incredulous that Louisville’s mayor would plead for law-abiding gun owners with concealed carry licenses to leave their guns at home this coming weekend for “Thunder over Louisville” given the rampaging groups of violent black youths that have plagued the downtown areas in that city for weeks now.

Gun owners aren’t amused.  The mayor said “things can escalate” when gun owners bring their guns.

Well, no kidding, mayor.  They can escalate VERY unfavorably for individuals like the two who were arrested for one recent weekend’s random violent attacks.

The 16-year-old above is a monster who is now in police custody for a spree of armed robberies where he shot his victims, twice each.

Simeon Adams is the poster child for why we carry.

There are monsters out there.

Monsters who should have been run through a wood chipper at an early age, but who are instead preying upon innocent people for their “nourishment”.

This monster shot and killed a 24-year-old newlywed with a good job and a pregnant wife at home in Indianapolis on April 1st.  If his victim Nathan Trapuzzano had a concealed carry piece and better situational awareness, his story would probably have had an entirely different ending.

Instead, Trapuzzano was shot and left for dead.  And he died.

Ironically, the same kid was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to *his own* neck hours later.  Did he pull the same stunt with a CCW holder who perforated him or
