...TrackingPoint Restructures & Relaunches
Back in May, things were looking grim for Austin-based TrackingPoint. The company, which manufactures Linux-powered smart rifles capable of nailing moving targets more than a thousand yards away, had posted a notice on its website saying that it stopped taking new orders. ...The SilencerCo Maxim In Depth
This was a great read, and makes me genuinely excited about what SilencerCo has for us in the coming year!
SilencerCo recently hosted an event called Maxim Vice. They released four new products, all of which were impressive and one of which surprised us all.
Traveling down to Key West Florida, I had a few ideas on what SilencerCo might be releasing. Shooting their revolutionary shotgun suppressor, the Salvo 12, last year left me with more than a few suspicions regarding what they might’ve been working on. For instance, the stackable, user configurable design of the Salvo 12 would lend itself well to other silencers, but…
Honestly I did not hear this coming.
Joshua Waldron, Silencerco’s CEO, performed the product unveiling on stage Monday night. The theme of this year’s release was a throwback to the 1980s, specifically the Miami Vice television series. Waldron stood with four clear display cases, uncovering one at a time to talk about each new product.

SilencerCo Maxim 9
The biggest announcement at Maxim Vice was the reveal of the Maxim 9 – an integrally suppressed 9mm pistol. Never before has a company successfully managed to produce a handgun with an integral silencer that is holsterable and hearing safe with any factory ammunition. This product is primed to take the industry by storm, and we’re proud to to show it to you – our loyal SilencerCo supporters – first.
We’re keeping exact product details under wraps since it is still in the final design stages, but one thing is certain – the Maxim 9 will forever change the way people think about firearms when they realize that there is no longer any reason guns have to be loud.
