Massachusetts Lawmakers to Consider Partially Lifting Sunday Hunting Ban
Massachusetts is one of 10 states in the United States that still forbids hunting on Sundays, but that may soon change with a bill headed to the state's House of Representatives. According to The Patriot Ledger, the bill will not do away with the ban entirely but instead lift it for the last three months of the year---deer season. If passed, the bill will allow Massachusetts bowhunters to harvest deer on a Sunday like they normally would any other day of the week.

Despite being the largest and most powerful bird of prey in the Western Hemisphere, the harpy eagle is now threatened across its entire native range in Central and South America. Spoilage. Remember that word from high school economics class? Spoilage refers to the goods or services we have but couldn’t or didn’t consume before they expired: the airplane that leaves the ground with empty seats or the hotel that lets a night pass with vacant rooms. New England Groundfish Disaster Funds Agreement Reached
The state fishery directors from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York, in partnership with NOAA, yesterday announced a proposed framework for the distribution of $32.8 million in federal disaster monies to the New England groundfish industry.

Montana Accepts RMEF Grant to Assist with Wolf Management
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) accepted a $25,000 grant from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to assist its wolf management plan.
