It is with tremendous sadness that USA Shooting report that 1948 Olympian Walter Walsh passed away in his Northern Virginia home on Tuesday, April 29 with his family by his side, just six days shy of his 107th birthday. On January 18, 2013 he became the world’s oldest Olympian eclipsing another American Olympian, Rudolf Schrader.

Near the highway leading up to Denali National Park there stands an 80-foot igloo currently owned by businessman Brad Fisher. It has become something of a landmark for the area, as well as an eyesore for those who want to see it torn down. Pentagon to Destroy $1.2 Billion in Surplus Ammo
A new Government Accountability Office report found that the Pentagon is planning to destroy an estimated $1.2 billion worth of ammunition. According to the report, the stockpile slated to be destroyed is a part of the $70 billion worth of ammunition managed by the Department of Defense (DOD) through the Army.
