Mere hours after a coward massacred 9 innocents in South Carolina President Obama took the opportunity to condemn inanimate objects and their accessibility rather than placing the blame on an evil, cowardly, lunatic.

AUSTIN — The next tussle over Texas’ new open carry law is likely to come over one of its more mundane requirements: signs.

Even after a successful and lawful gun use, Uber has decided to ban its riders and its drivers from legally carrying guns.

How’s this for a state slogan?

This morning, the Texas Secretary of State’s office held a drawing to determine the ballot position of constitutional amendments that will be considered by voters on November 3, 2015.  We are pleased to announce that NRA-backed Senate Joint Resolution 22, sponsored by state Representative Trent Ashby (R-Lufkin) and state Senator Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe), will appear as Proposition 6 on the ballot this fall.

After experiencing some really good fishing two days prior, Katy resident, Cuong Nguyen, was feeling all fished out until some friends talked him into joining them at the last minute on Friday, June 5. They launched out of the Galveston Yacht Basin and headed to the North jetties. Within no time, Nguyen caught nine solid trout. In addition, the friends combined catch yielded thirteen sheephead and three puppy drum. By 10a.m., the action slowed down considerably. One of the friends wanted to move to a different spot, but Nguyen suggested staying because he believed the fish would come back around. A little time went by, then Nguyen landed a 22’ Trout. About 10 minutes later, Nguyen caught another fish. As he reeled in the fish about ten feet away from the boat, he saw that it was a redfish. Then, much to Nguyen amazement, he realized the fish had a tag. Nguyen yelled out, “It’s a tagged redfish! It’s a tagged redfish!” The friends thought Nguyen was joking around at first, but after getting a closer...

Cougars have mixed feelings regarding their safety after the new campus carry bill was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott Saturday.

Claiming that you have caught the latest bass ever caught on video is a big claim.  That is exactly what Butch Brown has claimed on YouTube.  The YouTube description states:

“As far as I am aware, this is Butch’s biggest largemout to date. The fish was caught on March 28, 2008. Not only an amazing catch, this may be the single biggest largemouth bass ever on film from the strike to the net. Butch is the man!”

There is no doubt that this is a huge bass, but is still shy of the world record of 22lbs.

If you haven’t seen the Bow Mag, it’s an arrowhead that is tipped with a .357 Magnum load that explodes on impact. Young YouTuber Royal Nonesuch has taken that same principle and applied it to a homemade 12 gauge tipped arrow.

It costs a professional angler anywhere from $80,000 to $100,000 to participate in a year of professional bass angling. That’s a big number by anyone’s reckoning, and whether you win the big tournaments or not, it takes you away from home for about one-third of the year. No matter how good your equipment and skills are, the results are ultimately out of your control. The weather and fishing conditions determine the catch, weight and everything else.  If it were just about that, no one would ever consider it as a career; but for the pros who fished in the 2015 Toyota Texas Bass Classic it was about so much more.

So you are wondering through the jungle and spot a massive Green Anaconda in the water.  Instead of acting like a normal person and observing from a safe distance or running like hell, this guy decides to do the obvious and poke this large snake with a short stick.
