ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO — Late Monday night, a fatal shooting occurred north of Central SE, Albuquerque.

Following reports of the incident, police arrived at Domingo and Charleston NE, where they found one individual deceased from gunshot wounds, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

Officer Chase Jewell stated that the APD Homicide Unit is investigating, with more information to be released as it becomes available.

Pregnant Woman Shot, Leading to Emergency C-Section

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — A pregnant woman was shot during an altercation in a Walgreens parking lot in East Nashville, leading to an emergency cesarean section and the birth of her premature baby.

The incident occurred at approximately 8 p.m. on Wednesday when a store employee discovered two women shoplifting. He recorded them with his cellphone and followed them outside.

As the women transferred stolen goods to their vehicle, one reportedly sprayed mace at the employee.

The gunman, an employee at the bank who was about to lose his job, died at the scene.

USPS Carrier Held At Gunpoint

ALBUQUERQUE , NEW MEXICO — In January, a United States Postal Service (USPS) letter carrier was held at gunpoint during an attempted robbery.

The suspect remains at large, and officials are offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to his capture, according to KOAT.

Kelly McNulty, a representative of the United States Postal Inspection Service, revealed that the suspect is believed to be a 30-year-old Hispanic male with a medium build, weighing around 190 lbs.

Murder Charge Dropped In Texas, Self-Defense Cited

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Tarrant County prosecutors have dropped a murder charge against 29-year-old Markynn West, who was initially accused of fatally shooting Chin “Jin” Shin in Fort Worth in August.

According to the District Attorney’s office, evidence demonstrated that West acted in self-defense.

West’s attorney, Lesa Pamplin, argued that her client saved lives during the incident and should be considered a hero rather than a villain, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Wheelchair-Bound Veteran Shoots Would-Be Robber

HOUSTON, TEXAS — A military veteran in a wheelchair defended himself against a robbery attempt near METRO headquarters in downtown Houston on Monday night, according to authorities.

Police arrived at the scene around 9 p.m. to find the wheelchair-bound man and the injured suspect, who had been shot multiple times, according to ABC 15.

The veteran reported that he had been waiting for a ride when the suspect tried to steal his bag, prompting him to open fire.

The incident occurred on March 6 in the 2600 block of N. 3rd, where a man from Garden City died following an argument with family members.

TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA — A potential self-defense shooting in Tuscaloosa that led to the death of a 43-year-old man, Tibaous Giles, is being investigated by the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.

The incident took place on the night of March 13 in the 300 block of 24th Street, according to The Tuscaloosa News.

Police Taser Man Charging Them While Dual-Wielding Swords

You can’t really make this stuff up, folks.

In the video below, a clearly disturbed man decides to advance on at least two officers, and, frankly, is lucky to be tased — the alternative would have been to be shot in this case, and the officers would have been totally right to have done so.

Instead, one of the officers deployed a taser against a man who apparently had stabbed his own mother not too long beforehand.

Girl Shoots Phone During Live Stream

This one is from a few years ago, but it’s new to us. While browsing YouTube, this gem popped up and apparently shows a girl holding a handgun while live-streaming, and then we hear a bang as she points it towards the phone.

And that’s it.

Whether she was in legal possession of the firearm or not is unknown, but this is a clear example of what not to do as a gun owner.

Suspected Home Invader Shot By Resident In Chicago

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — A burglary attempt in Chicago’s Northwest Side turned violent when the suspect, Jeremy Tyler, was shot by the homeowner early Sunday morning, according to a report.

Tyler was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the arm and has been charged with burglary, according to CBS.

The incident has caused concern in the Dunning neighborhood.

The homeowner woke up to his dog barking and heard a loud noise in the basement.

Homeowner Shoots, Kills Alligator Attacking Dog

DELTONA, FLORIDA — A homeowner in Deltona, Florida had a frightening encounter with a seven-foot-eight alligator in his backyard when it attacked his dog, Winston.

The homeowner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he noticed his dog sniffing around outside and went to investigate when he saw the alligator, according to Fox 45.

At the same time, the gator spotted Winston and lunged at him, clamping down on the side of his head.

EL PASO, TEXAS — El Paso police believe that a man found shot two miles away from a home invasion on Howard Street in northeast El Paso last Wednesday morning is connected to the incident.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Bruce Wayne Murphy (yes, that does appear to be his real name), allegedly forced his way into a home on Howard Street, injuring a dog and firing a weapon inside the house, according to KVIA.

2 People Shot In Attempted Home Invasion

GLENS FALLS, NEW YORK — Two people have been shot over the course of what police have termed an attempted home invasion, according to WNYT.

According to a city spokesperson, both people shot were trying to break into a home in Glens Falls, New York, when a resident inside the home shot and wounded both of the alleged assailants.

At the time of WNYT’s report, is was unclear if the homeowner knew either of the attackers, but it was reported that all three persons were local to the area.

Report: Home Intruder Shot By Armed Resident

ROANOKE COUNTY, VIRGINIA — In the early hours of Sunday morning, a person was shot during a break-in at the North Point Apartments in Roanoke County, according to the local police department.

The incident occurred at around 2:41 a.m., and the homeowner used their firearm to defend themselves against the intruder, according to WFXR.

The person who was shot has not yet been identified, but they were taken to the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON — Seattle police reported a 29-year-old man died after he attempted to rob the King Smoke Shop in the Ballard neighborhood and was subsequently shot by the store owner.

The incident happened on Monday at 4 p.m., according to KOMO. The Seattle Police Department was alerted about a shooting outside the smoke shop.

According to Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz, the suspect entered the shop and attempted to rob it at gunpoint, shooting an employee.

Florida Couple Has Revolver-Shaped Pool Built

ODESSA, FLORIDA — The swimming pool in Louis Minardi’s backyard near Tampa, Florida is quite a sight.

Shaped like a six-shooter revolver, the custom-built pool is a unique addition to the state’s gun culture.

Minardi’s high school friend, Albert Jones III, a contractor, proposed the idea around 40 years ago when he grew tired of building conventional pools, according to Fox 13.

Despite initial reluctance, Minardi was convinced that the idea aligned with his lifelong interest in guns.
