Road Rage Leads To Self-Defense Shooting In Washington
FEDERAL WAY, WASHINGTON — Police received a report of a hit and run accident in the 800 block of S. 320th Street in Federal Way at 12:15 PM on Monday, August 8th. While officers were enroute, they received information that the drivers had stopped in the roadway and were fighting.
At some point during the altercation, one of the subjects retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and fired at a 35-year-old Federal Way resident.

Homeowner Shoots And Kills Intruder In Central Ohio
PICKAWAY COUNTY, OHIO — A man is dead after a homeowner shot and killed him during a home invasion, according to police.
According to initial reports, a man broke into a home in the 1100 block of Thrailkill Road in Pickaway County, Ohio just before midnight on Sunday July 24, 2022.
A 911 Caller told dispatchers that an intruder entered through a side door in the home and was attempting to “burglarize” the house.

Woman Shoots Man During Assault In Atlanta
ATLANTA, GEORGIA — A woman defended herself, shooting a man in the leg during an assault after running away from her assailant, according to police.
Shortly after 2 a.m., police say the incident began inside an apartment. The woman involved in the incident proceeded to run away to a Publix parking lot where she shot the man in the leg after he gave chase. Police believe that she shot the man while he attempted to assault her.

Shooting At Maine Towing Company Ruled Self-Defense
AUGUSTA, MAINE — State police arrived at Ready Road Service towing company to find a man who had been fatally shot.
Police arrived on scene at the towing company to find the body of 36-year-old Tyler Morin, who had been shot in self-defense by a man identified as 48-year-old Rob Drummond.
The police have not commented as to why Drummond shot Morin or what events lead to the shooting, but the shooting has been ruled self-defense.

Man Shot And Killed After Pointing Gun At Someone Outside Restaurant
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two off-duty officers shot and killed a man who was pointing a gun at another person, according to police. The incident happened on the evening of July 16th in the 800 block of Wharf Street SW.
The two officers, a husband and wife, who were out celebrating a promotion, witnessed a man brandishing a firearm while at the water front during a confrontation. That man was later identified as Lazarus Wilson.
Store Clerk Shoots Man After Being Attacked With Knife
A store clerk fought back when a man attacked her with a knife this past Friday evening.
Around 11:30 PM, a man entered an Everest Food Mart in Beaumont, TX, in an attempt to rob the store. The store clerk called 911 to report the robbery in progress. As police were en route, the man displayed a knife and attacked the clerk.
The store clerk, armed with a handgun, shot the knife-wielding man in self-defense.

Man Shot In Arm After Breaking Into Home
PORTLAND, OREGON — Just after Midnight police responded to a shooting where they found a man who had been shot in the arm by a homeowner.
On the 100 Block of Northeast 22nd Avenue police responded to a shooting where they found a man with a bullet wound in his arm. They proceeded to provide first aid with a tourniquet. While providing first aid a homeowner called and stated they had been involved in a shooting where a man attempted to enter their home illegally.

Homeowner Has Shootout With Intruder While On The Phone With 911
FONTANA, CALIFORNIA — A man died after police say he got into a shootout with an armed homeowner, who was on the phone with a 911 operator.
Around 11 p.m., the homeowner heard someone breaking into the home and grabbed his gun while calling 911. While on the phone with the 911 operator, the intruder and the homeowner exchanged gunfire. The intruder was shot in the upper torso, leading to him being pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Release Video From Dallas Airport Shooting
Police have released surveillance and body cam footage related to the incident at Dallas Airport on Monday where a woman walked in, pulled out a handgun and began firing.
The video shows the suspect walking in and going to the restroom for a few minutes, then reemerging and walking over to the Southwest ticket counter area. At this time, she reportedly calls for everyone’s attention and rambles about certain topics, before pulling out a handgun and firing towards the ceiling.

Intruder Shot In The Neck By Armed Homeowner Who Awoke To Noise
HOUSTON, TEXAS — A man is dead after police say he was shot and killed by an armed homeowner, who woke up around 1 a.m. to the sound of glass breaking.
After the man entered the home, he made his way upstairs and was met by the armed homeowner, who fired his gun. The intruder was struck in the neck and retreated from the home.
Neighbors told police the man then began knocking on the doors of nearby homes to say that he had been shot.
Surprised Armed Thug Gets Shot By Concealed Carrier In Chicago Parking Lot
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — A man is alive because he had his concealed firearm on him during an attempt on his life. As the 49-year-old man was in the parking lot of a restaurant, a vehicle pulled up and a 19-year-old man got out. That teen was armed with a gun and started firing.
The 49-year-old, a valid concealed carry permit holder, drew his gun and hit the teen in the right hand and left foot.
BREAKING: New Video From Uvalde Mass Shooting Released
UVALDE, TEXAS — Calls for the release of video from the mass shooting at an elementary school in Texas in March have been answered. KVUE obtained the videos and made the decision to release them, showing the car wreck of the suspect and the suspect entering the school and walking down the hallway.
The first part of the video below is of the car crash, and of the suspect making his way towards the school.

Clerk Leaves Gun On Counter After Questionable Customer Walks In
A clerk thought something was a little off with a man who was coming into the store, so he reaches for his handgun that he kept under the counter. As the man approaches, he moves the gun to the register and things maybe this guy isn’t here to do any harm.
He then leaves the gun on top of the register as he grabs cigarettes for the customer, leaving it open and vulnerable to being grabbed by anyone.
Homeless Man Shoots And Kills Man Who Intruded His Tent
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI — A man in his 50’s shot and killed another man who entered his tent uninvited, according to police. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday near the Mississippi River.
When police arrived to the scene, they found 36-year-old Steven Weinhardt deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. The man who shot Weinhardt was interviewed by police and ultimately released.
The investigation is ongoing.

Ohio’s New Constitutional Carry Law Is Now In Effect
COLUMBUS, OHIO — The good citizens of Ohio can now carry a concealed firearm without a permit or training as of June 13th, 2022. The law, which was signed by the Governor back in March, added Ohio to the growing number of states to adopt constitutional carry over the last few years.
Ohio is still issuing concealed carry permits even with the new law in effect, which gives holders certain reciprocities with other states.

Clerk Successfully Draws After Being Brutally Attacked
When punches are being thrown, it can be incredibly difficult to get away, especially in the confined space that the clerk below was in. The attacker came from the right through an open door, which is an issue that could have negated this attack altogether.
The clerk, who was armed with a handgun and carrying in the 5 o’clock position, was eventually able to draw that gun and fire on the suspect, striking him and ending the attack.

Suspect Shot Dead By Armed Man During Attempted Carjacking In Houston
HOUSTON, TEXAS — A man is dead after police say he tried to rob a man who was at a nearby café. Multiple witnesses told police that the suspect approached the man and began his robbery attempt, at one point telling him to “Give me your car.”
The intended victim was armed, but not immediately. It appears that he needed to retrieve his firearm from the vehicle, at which point he fired shots at the suspect.
