Home Invasion Suspect Stopped By Multiple Armed Neighbors
ST. CHARLES, MICHIGAN — A St. Charles man is in custody after he was confronted by armed citizens after he attempted a home invasion, according to police.
The incident took place Friday, November 25th at around 7:33 am. The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old man, was reported to be causing a disturbance, jumping on top of a vehicle at one point. The suspect then forced his way into a residence occupied by a 41-year-old woman and her 13 and 9-year-old children.

Woman Shot For No Reason During Armed Carjacking
Gas stations are a place where bad things happen, and we see it all the time in the articles and videos that we put out there. Being on alert while at the pump is important, whether you’re in a “good” part of town or not.
A woman was pumping gas when two men came up to her and announced a robbery. She seems to comply but before they take off with her vehicle, they shoot her, striking her in the arm.

Why We Carry: Child Grabbed By Coyote In The Middle Of The Day In A Driveway
If you want to see something scary, this is it. A child was in a driveway when a coyote came along and grabbed her, and began dragging her away. The incident unfolded on Friday in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles on the family’s property.
The father of the child was close by and yelled at the animal, making it back off just enough for him to get his daughter to safety.
Man Shot After Altercation In Topeka May Have Been Self-Defense
TOPEKA, KANSAS – A man is dead after a shooting in Southwest Topeka, according to the Topeka Police Department. The shooting took place on Friday, Nov 11 around 5:30pm. This occurred near the corner of 29th and Villa West Drive in Topeka.
Police say two men got into an altercation in the street. One of the men pulled a gun and shot the other. Upon arrival, officers located a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound.
23-Year-Old Woman With CCW Wins Against 4 Armed Carjackers
Four men got out of a black car around 2 AM Wednesday and went up to a 23-year-old female in her parked car. One attacker had a handgun and tried to open the victim’s car door. The 23-year-old female was a concealed carry license (CCL) holder and shot one of her attackers in the head.
She was running away when another assailant shot her in the left arm. They took the offender she shot to the hospital in serious condition.

Security Guard Successfully Overpowers And Disarms Man With Rifle In Buffalo
A man walked into a substance abuse treatment clinic with an AR-15, and just before had robbed a woman on the street and shot her. A security guard was in the lobby of the building at the time and wasted no time taking action in an attempt to control and disarm the man.
As soon as he walked into the lobby, he fired off a shot to let everyone know he means business.
$21,000+ Theft: Rifle And Gear Stolen From New Mexico Patrol Car
ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO – A convicted felon in New Mexico allegedly stole an AR-platformed rifle and over $21,000 in police gear from a state policeman’s patrol car. The items were eventually returned but included days of tracking the items back down.
The items were able to be stolen due to the patrol car being left on a street for a couple days and no alarm system had yet been installed in the vehicle.

Chicago CCL Holder Fatally Shoots Armed Robbery Suspect
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — A CCL holder shot and killed a suspect who attempted to rob a Chicago grocery store. A clerk was also critically wounded by the robbery suspect in the shooting,
Police state that the robbery attempt occurred at a South Shore grocery store in the 2600 block of East 73rd street at around 6:20 pm. Police state that the suspect went into the store with the intent to rob it and produced a gun.

Man Shot And Killed Tuesday Morning In Nashville
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE — An altercation that led to a shooting left one man dead and another wounded early Tuesday, November 9th.
The shooting occurred on Sycamore Road. 49-year-old Dontrell Booker and 20-year-old Zion Lacy were involved in a fight just prior to the shooting. Police stated that Booker was in a relationship with Lacy’s mother. Police report that Booker fired at Lacy, who returned fire. Booker died as a result of his wound.

Judges Rules Self-Defense In September 2021 Shooting
On October 11, 2022, a Butte County, California Judge ruled that a September 2021 shooting by a juvenile was self-defense. There were 3 days of testimony involving 15 witnesses as well as surveillance video related to the case. The Judge ruled that the Prosecutor did not meet the threshold to override a claim of self-defense. Under California law, the burden is on the Prosecutor to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant did not act in self-defense.

Naked Home Invader Shot At While Trying To Steal Cat
NEWTON COUNTY, TEXAS – A naked man trying to break into someone’s home and steal their cat was shot in rural Texas on October 13th. The homeowner woke up and found the man in his home, shot at the man, and the man was eventually caught by a sheriff’s deputy.
The man called law enforcement around 5:30 a.m. and stated that he found a young, white naked man in his home attempting to steal his cat.

Syracuse Man Claims Self-Defense In Shooting Death
SYRACUSE, NEW YORK – In a murder trial in Syracuse, NY, the shooter’s attorney claims the shooter was justified in the shooting death of his neighbor inside an apartment complex.
The attorney claims that his client was the initial victim because he was chased by a “knife-wielding attacker” when his client pulled his firearm and stopped the threat.

Home Invasion Suspect Shot While Attempting To Steal Homeowner’s Dog
DUNN, NORTH CAROLINA — Around 5:45am on Tuesday, Malihk Giles allegedly broke into a home and attempted to steal a dog. He was then shot after failing to leave the apartment.
Police spoke with a 29-year-old woman, who stated she was woken up by a loud banging. She observed a suspect, later to be determined by the police to be Giles, who had broken in through her front door and was attempting to take her dog.
Accused Rapist Shot In The Foot After Breaking Into Woman’s Home
TULSA, OKLAHOMA – Wilfredo Gomez was allegedly attempting to rape a woman when she grabbed her gun and shot him in the foot.
The woman, who has not been identified, was at home around 1:55pm when Gomez forced his way through the door and forced the woman into her bedroom where he sexually assaulted and raped her. The woman then grabbed her gun and fired several times, eventually hitting Gomez in the foot.
Nebraska Hotel Shooting Proven To Be Self-Defense
NORTH PLATTE, NEBRASKA – On September 18th, a shooting between two friends was proven to be a self-defense case. The man who was shot did not succumb to the gunshot wounds but was being treated for serious injuries at the Nebraska Medical Center.
The man who opened fire was living in a hotel and had a friend over for a meal. After a little time of drinking, the friend who was visiting became aggressive.

Oklahoma Man Shoots Suspected Burglar Dead
TULSA, OKLAHOMA – An Oklahoma man shot and killed a suspected burglar who was attempting to break into his apartment. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. September 4.
The homeowner immediately cooperated with law enforcement and said that he opened fire on another man who was entering his apartment.
The alleged burglar was found dead at the bottom of a staircase with a gunshot wound. However, there was allegedly one other suspect who fled the scene and has not yet been tracked down.

Teen Home Invasion Suspect Shot By Elderly Homeowner
AKRON, OHIO — A 16-year-old burglary suspect, attempting to commit a home invasion, was shot by a 74-year-old homeowner. The shooting occurred early on the morning of March 29th at a residence in the 700 block of Johnson Street in Akron.
Police were notified at around 7:26 am of the incident at the Johnson Street residence, located east of state Route 8 and Lumiere Street and west of Hammel Street. Police located the suspect inside the residence with multiple gunshot wounds.
