When we think of Glock, we think of less than charming polymer pistols that are so popular that their outlines are used to represent the image of firearms everywhere from TSA lines to news channels.  I love my G29 10mm and the other herd of Glocks I own as much as the next guy, but the image of what a Glock looks like is burnt into our brains as a handgun used by both good and bad. However, there is a different side of Glock.

After posting about a working Lego revolver, I received an email from a reader promoting his butt stock made of Legos. He even linked to a video of him abusing his shoulder by firing 24 recoil-packed rounds of 12 gauge 3″ buckshot through a shotgun equipped with one of these stocks.

Watch one of the excellent videos from Karamat Wilderness Ways starring the eminent and practical Mors Kochanski and you’ll definitely see more than few blades, all designed for bushcraft. The idea of these prissy, ultra clean, ultra modern blades seem out of place as the brilliant Kochanski uses a cold chisel to cut out a knife blank for an old industrial bandsaw blade.  For Kochanski, the knife is a tool and should be made a simply and cheaply as possible. So, you’re getting ready to fish a small lake for bass. It may be that small pond behind your house. Small lakes are everywhere, so just look around.

You may feel more like a farmer than a hunter, but sportsmen wanting to enhance their whitetail property with food plots should have the following:

1) Select the site carefully. The plot should be in a good whitetail area, a place animals are not afraid to visit day or night.

So you’ve decided to plant food plots for deer on your hunt property, but what seed should you put in the ground? Wheat? Oats? Rye? Barley? Or one of the dozens of newer, generally better, plot plants designed specifically for wildlife?

Ask any fixed blade maker what their least favorite part of product design and development is and they will uniformly tell you that it is sheath making. Sheathes are just not easy to make.
