Cell Phone Body Armor?
There’s a brutal difference between fact and fiction. The things we see in the entertainment industry may look cool on screen but have no basis in reality. For example, in Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps, Richard Hannay’s (Robert Donat) life is saved when a hymnal in his pocket stops an assassin’s bullet. This popular trope has been used and reused many times over the years with a variety of objects all conveniently being able to stop a bullet.
Unfortunately, in the real world, we’ve all seen reports of shootings occurring in public locations. Many of which have been designated as “gun-free zones.” Fortunately for some, nearby objects and personal effects have prevented bullets from impacting their intended target. One of the personal items commonly reported on in these situations is the cell phone.

Biden Regime Announces New Gun Control Push
The Biden administration just announced a new initiative to push gun control at the state level.
This new initiative encourages each state to:
– Establish gun control offices similar to the Biden White House’s model
– Pass universal background checks
– Ban so-called “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines
– Pass manufacturer liability laws
The White House said in a release that they will “proactively work with states to make sure they have additional resources and support needed to advance these agenda items.”

Happy Birthday
Sean,
So many things I would have liked to share with you… The simple pleasure of warm sunlight on your face. The color of the sky on a cloudless, moonless night. The smell of a freshly caught fish. The intensity of what truly great music sounds like. Subtleties involved in humor.
But we will never have those — or the millions of other — opportunities.
Goodbye son. Show me around and tell me what it’s like when I get there.
Love,
Dad
Fatal Accident At Hornady Plant
Condolences to those affected.
An explosion at an ammunition manufacturer’s facility in Nebraska left one woman dead and at least two other people injured.
The explosion took place Friday in a chemical compound building at Hornady Manufacturing in Wood River, according to KHGI-TV in nearby Kearney.
Hall County Attorney Marty Klein did not identify the victims, the outlet reported.
He said that one of the two men who were injured showed symptoms of a concussion.
The other man who was injured had symptoms related to breathing in dust and fumes, Klein said.

1 Million+, 49 Consecutive Months
Gun sales across the United States reached over 1 million for 49 consecutive months, according to new data even as the Biden administration tries to crack down on firearms.
The FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System showed just over 2 million federal background checks occurred in August 2023. When the figure was adjusted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation to more accurately reflect likely retail firearms sales, that number decreased to nearly 1.12 million checks last month, according to Guns.com.
“This has happened every month for more than four years continuously,” Mark Oliva, the foundation’s public affairs officer, said.

ATF Aims To Kill Private Sales
The Biden administration will use executive orders and the weaponized ATF to issue a rule limiting the private sales of firearms. According to the New York Times and verified by AmmoLand News sources, the new rule is expected to be unveiled by the end of the year.
President Joe Biden plans to announce that he is directing the ATF to close what Everytown calls the “private sales loophole” and the “digital loophole.” The “private sales loophole” is when an individual sells a firearm for profit but does not possess a Federal Firearm License (FFL).
Biden will call on the ATF to develop a new rule requiring anyone who makes any profit by selling firearms to possess an FFL. Guns tend to increase in value over time. A gun purchased in 1980 will likely sell for more money today than its original value.

Taxed At 1000%
Democrats in the House of Representatives are pressuring Speaker Kevin McCarthy to hold a vote on legislation that would place an excise tax on what they consider “assault weapons” and increase gun prices by 1,000%.
More than two dozen Democrats, including Rep. Don Beyer of Virginia, penned a letter to the House speaker to bring the legislation to the floor “as soon as possible,” The Hill reported.
The members of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force put forward the same suggestions that were proposed in 2022 when 38 Democrats wanted the incredible tax increase.
An excise tax, which places a duty on the product at the moment of manufacturing, would increase the price of a $1,000 firearm to $10,000 before it even gets to a retailer.
