Testing the ballistics of weaponized flashlights (VIDEO)

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 20:20

MattV2099 is venturing out of the box to see what a half dozen Thrunite Ti3s mounted to shotgun shells would do to ballistics gel.

Matt is best know for his good and guns videos and recent massacre of Stephen King books, so this latest video from his top secret testing center is a slight change of pace.

The only sad part is that Thrunite’s are really sweet little lights. But who knew they would violate ballistics gel like that?

Like what?

Watch the video.

Hickok45 goes no holds barred on a Hi Point 9mm (VIDEO)

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 18:18

The original Tennessee pistolero, Hickok45, adds a Hi Point C9 9mm pistol to the review stable and leaves no clay pot intact.

Ol’ Hick calls it like he sees it and has reviewed everything from S&W wheelguns to the latest SIGs, Rugers, HKs and the like, so it was only a matter of time before a Hi-Point crossed his path.

He gives it the extended 400 round smell test and found out some interesting stuff.

In short, don’t let the hype fool you.

Stop blaming killers’ mother for liking guns

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 18:05

The recent shootings in Oregon and Connecticut have drawn massive amounts of media attention and so have these shooters mother’s; I have heard a good deal of criticism levied at the mom’s of these murderers, specifically for being pro-gun.  Are the moms really to blame? I think not and, frankly, I’m tired of this gun control instinct to blame every person and object for the crime but the criminal.

Just taking out my Ferrari to go shoot clays (VIDEO)

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 17:52

With a top speed of 202mph, the Ferrari SA Aperta makes an ideal war chariot for those who like to shoot clays while on the move.

A limited edition Ferrari that couples the 661 hp engine of the 599 GTO with some updated styling, the SA Aperta is not your average black pony ride. Which makes its an ideal chase plane for UK clays master Philip Thorrold, winner of several Beretta World Sporting Open and European Iron Man Skeet matches, to bust pigeons from the passenger’s seat whilst the Aperta rolls out some donuts at max rpm.

For Thorrold, calling “shotgun” on a ride means something entirely different.

Father of an Oregon shooting survivor declines invite to Obama visit because of gun policy (VIDEO)

Stacy Boylan, father of Umpqua Community College shooting survivor Ana Boylan, said that President Obama’s visit to Roseburg, Oregon, on Friday is all about pushing his gun-control agenda.

“I do believe it was Rahm Emmanuel that said, ‘Never let a good tragedy go to waste,'” Boylan said, adding that he questions Obama’s motives.

Boylan said that as a Second Amendment supporter, he believes gun-free zones are a problem because they become targets for “crazy people,” who know they won’t be met with resistance.

RFK called for gun control from Roseburg, OR nearly 50 years ago (VIDEO)

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 16:11

“With all the violence and murder and killings we’ve had in the United States, I think you will agree that we must keep firearms from people who have no business with guns or rifles,” Senator Robert F. Kennedy told a crowd of some 1,500 people from the steps of the Douglas County Courthouse in Roseburg, Oregon, on May 27, 1968.

The speech, whose attendees included protesters who opposed the senator’s call for greater gun control, was given during Kennedy’s presidential campaign nearly 50 years ago. Less than two weeks after his stop in Roseburg, Kennedy was shot and killed.

Airport security find man in suitcase (VIDEO)

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 16:06

While airports everywhere are accustomed to seeing individuals attempting to sneak in prohibited items, like drugs and guns, authorities at an airport in Lima, Peru, discovered a man trying to smuggle something a bit more unusual – a human being.

Airport security became suspicious of the man, who was wheeling a very large – and presumably heavy – suitcase as he exhibited signs of becoming increasingly nervous. Security further found interest in the man’s luggage when it grabbed the attention of a K-9.

Initially, the man refused to open his bag, but eventually complied. When the bag was unzipped, there lay a man all curled up inside, who quickly stepped out of the bag.

Video uploaded to YouTube by passersby subsequently became an instant sensation.

Is .357 Magnum enough for deer hunting?

Wed, 10/07/2015 - 16:00

I heard a discussion the other day about handgun deer hunting. debate surrounding the .357 Magnum and if it was enough of a pistol caliber for whitetails and the consensus was that the .357 Magnum was never adequate and that the .44 Magnum was in itself a borderline cartridge for deer. When did this start?
