SIG SAUER continues to expand on its modular P365 platform, this time by increasing capacity to the full-size pistol range and creating an offering for those wanting to jump on the compensated carry gun trend.

A new grip module extends the grip length of the slim, modular P365 to accept a full 17 rounds of 9mm ammo. And by using the P365’s 3.1-inch barrel in the longer P365XL slide SIG has been able to use the extra room to integrate a compensator for reducing muzzle flip.

[Nathan] Ramirez had been out of jail in Travis County since he was granted personal bond on May 27, 2022 for the June 2021 charge of unlawful possession of a firearm. Ramirez had been on the lam since the incident last year until he was arrested on May 26, 2022.

Austin Municipal Court Associate Judge Stephen Vigorito granted the bail on the condition that Ramirez not possess any firearms or engage in criminal activity.

My small town has had gun shows twice this year, and boy, oh boy, am I a fan. Most of the bigger city gun shows only attract gun stores who add on the gun show “special” price of 20% more and call it a day.

I go to gun shows to find and purchase (or just ogle) old guns. I don’t care about a table full of GLOCKs, but I love a table full of milsurp guns or antiques and my local gun show is all about that.

When a preview of Vogue’s October 2022 cover story on Ukrainian first lady Olena Zelenska hit Twitter on July 26, 2022, reactions on social media were swift and polarized. Some critics said that a photo shoot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz for a fashion magazine was a “bad idea” and glamorized war.

Others lauded the magazine and Ukraine’s first lady for bringing awareness to the suffering of Ukrainians, five months after Russia first invaded its neighboring country.

Gabbie Giffords is taking aim at the Gunshine State.

In a press release issued this week, she announced the creation of Giffords Florida, which she described as “a new initiative dedicated to supporting candidates for local, state, and federal office in the Sunshine State who have the courage to fight gun violence.”

According to the release, this is Giffords “first and only state-specific political initiative,” as well as the “largest bilingual gun safety political program focused entirely on Florida.”

Giffords, which is headquartered in Washington, D.C., has more than $5 million in assets.

David Chipman squirmed when the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee grilled him for an “assault weapon” definition. The gun control lobbyist nominated by President Joe Biden to become the Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) just couldn’t bring himself to come up with one.

“There’s no way I could define an assault weapon,” Chipman finally said.

Nearly a year after President Biden withdrew Chipman’s nomination, he’s finally found a way.
