Circuit Court Rules D.C. Mag Restriction Is Constitutional
Gun-rights groups looking to get Washington, D.C.’s restriction on firearm magazines that hold more than 10 rounds declared unconstitutional have run into a brick wall at the U.S. Appeals Court for the D.C. Circuit.
Despite arguments to the contrary, on Tuesday, the court ruled that such magazines do, indeed, pass the Bruen standard and that the ban could stand. Plaintiffs in the case Hansen v. D.C. contend that the ban didn’t meet either of the two standards set down by the U.S.

Halloween Horror Stoppers: The Best Guns for Taking Out Hollywood’s Most Evil Villains
Halloween, that night of childish horror, is upon us like the whitetail rut and what better time to ponder the best defensive options against the season’s most terrifying villains than as the sun begins to set. Let’s be honest, if any of us were a character in the top horror movies, we wouldn’t hide in a closet and merely wait for our end to come via knife slashing, hockey mask wearing, thrift store apparel reject or walk into a dark barn looking for Barbara—unless she’s super hot AND unless we were strapped like the Terminator looking to snuff Sarah Connor.

FPC Challenges Texas Carry Bans
The Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) announced Tuesday it has filed a new lawsuit challenging Texas laws that prohibit carrying firearms at certain public locations, including businesses that primarily serve alcohol, racetracks and sporting events. The suit, Ziegenfuss v. McCraw, seeks to end what the plaintiffs argue are unconstitutional restrictions on law-abiding citizens’ right to carry firearms in public.
Filed in a Texas federal court, the lawsuit asserts that current restrictions on carrying firearms at these locations are excessive and cannot be justified by historical precedent.

Media Portrays Dead Teen as Shooting Victim, Only to Learn He was the Aggressor
In a shocking turn of events, Fort Wayne, Indiana, police have determined that a high school football player, initially reported as a tragic victim and the lone person to die from a mass shooting at a weekend Halloween party, was in fact the aggressor who entered the party and began shooting. Willie Ivy III, 17, opened fire after forcing his way into the crowded party, injuring nine people ranging in ages from 14 to 20 before an armed partygoer returned fire, killing him in what authorities have determined was an act of justifiable self-defense.
D’oh! Some Airports on Pace to Break TSA Records on Catching Guns in Carry-Ons this Year
The TSA at Boise Airport has discovered a record number of firearms in carry-on bags this year, with 43 firearms detected as of October 27, surpassing the 42 firearms detected in all of 2023. This uptick mirrors a growing nationwide trend of passengers, most often, inadvertently bringing firearms to airport checkpoints. Just days ago, a similar incident occurred at Norfolk International Airport in Virginia, where a Virginia Beach man was detained after TSA officers found his 9mm handgun in his carry-on bag at a checkpoint.

The Kung Fu Grip from Die Free Co. is a game-changer. Its reduced angle alleviates hand fatigue and improves your ability to control your AR-15.
Guardian Touts Trump Credentials While Trying To Bolster Kamala
When The Guardian recently posted a story telling how dangerous a second Trump presidency could be for gun-ban advocates and the gun control movement in general, the authors actually made a great case for exactly why gun owners should vote for the former president.
The story, headlined “If Trump wins the election, this is what is at stake,” touts how much President Biden did for anti-gunners (actually, he didn’t accomplish much).
NYC’s Subway AI Weapons Scanners Fail to Find a Single Gun
The Associated Press reports that a recent pilot program testing AI-powered weapons scanners in New York City subway stations resulted in over 100 false alerts, but no firearms were detected. Data from the New York Police Department, released Wednesday night, shows that the Evolv-manufactured scanners flagged a total of 118 false positives during nearly 3,000 screenings conducted at 20 subway stations. The program, introduced by Mayor Eric Adams as part of a broader initiative to increase transit safety, has prompted debate over its accuracy and constitutionality.

From Bad to Worse: Dem Candidate’s Photo Op Range Day Yields More Troubling Concerns
Democratic Senate candidate Lucas Kunce’s recent attempt to court gun owners in Missouri backfired spectacularly when one of the reporters covering the event was struck in the arm by shrapnel because Kunce and former congressman Adam Kinzinger were standing too close shooting at steel targets without a proper backstop. Now it seems there are even more troubling issues arising from the epic campaign fail.
Here’s a recap according to The Kansas City Star.
State Rep. Quang Nguyen Scrutinizes Sedona Gun Ordinance
A Sedona ban on firearms in public spaces, which has allegedly gone unenforced for years, has been brought to the attention of Arizona State Rep. Quang Nguyen who notified the City Council earlier this month that Sedona City Code 12.30.090, addressing the carrying of firearms in certain public places, appears to violate state law.
Public records show the prohibition was adopted into code in 2006 and later amended in 2009 and 2012. The issue at hand deals specifically with 12.30.090 paragraphs A and B.

Gun Beats Vehicle as Armed Citizen Stops Attacker from Running People Over
While police have shown time and again skill at successfully using a 5,000-pound bullet (aka police cruiser) to stop a threat, the threats themselves seem to be having trouble executing the same stunt with their vehicles on their intended victims. Recently, in Ohio, an armed citizen prevented a man behind the wheel of a car from running over him and two other people when he drew a sidearm and shot the suspect through the windshield. His shots put an end to the assault when he wounded the driver.
FN Unveils The FN SCAR 15P 300 Blackout
FN has announced the highly anticipated SCAR 15P chambered in .300 Blackout, a SCAR pistol that makes much more sense to shooters than the original 7.5-inch barrel release in 5.56x45mm. The platform debuted in late 2022 as a civilian alternative to the SCAR SC personal defense weapon.
At just under 20 inches in overall length with its 7.5-inch cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined barrel, the SCAR 15P 300BLK incorporates the more recent SCAR tradition of non-reciprocating charging handles.

Giffords, Anti-Gunners Change Their Messaging to Match Changing Crime Stats
By Larry Keane
National gun control activists are having a hard time keeping their messaging to the American people straight ahead of the Nov. 5 election. Giffords Courage to Fight Gun Violence is only the latest example and the breathless hyperbole and hypocrisy coming out of their press releases and campaign emails makes it abundantly clear. They are hypocrites.
The presidential election is razor thin as early voting has started across the country and the campaigns are making their closing pitches to undecided voters.
2nd Circuit Court Rules For New York In “Sensitive Places” Carry Ban Lawsuit
Gun rights advocates looking to overturn New York’s “sensitive places” law have suffered a big loss in a Manhattan courtroom.
The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday in Antonyuk et al. v. James that the law banning people from carrying weapons in locations such as schools, parks, theaters and bars is constitutional under the Second Amendment. The court also declared constitutional the state’s restrictive “good moral character” requirement for getting a concealed carry permit.
