WON writer Christine Cunningham makes the cut

What began as a vision for Lisa Marie Judy a little more than a year ago grew into an amazing event with overwhelming support from the firearms industry. Pro competition shooter Kay Miculek called it Judy’s “baby.” Judy’s idea grew into the Brownells Lady 3-Gun Pro-Am Challenge and brought together at least 200 women to compete, cover for various media outlets, support and cheer each other on.

Wayzata, MN – Baseball has Little League, Hockey has USA Hockey, Soccer has the US Youth Soccer Association, and now fishing has the American Angler Leagues.  Prior to last year, fishing has been without an organization that supported and helped communities build youth fishing associations similar to other sports.

Suzie Fabricius, daughter of Russell President Ralph Fabricius, is a young, fit, athletic fashion maven.   She’s “with it” if you know what we mean.   While not a hunter herself, she’s been around the Russell boot and shoe making business since age 3 so knows full well the smells and sounds and numerous tasks involved in fashioning a pair of hand made Russell boots.

Shoot Like A Girl (SLG2) is proud to announce that we will be hosting our annual “I Shoot for the Girls™” mail-in tournament, a sanctioned event by the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), until March 31, 2015. This tournament, which began in Oct. 2014, provides participants an opportunity to compete on a national level in a fun mail-in tournament. SLG2 will donate 100 percent of the profit the NBCF.

Madison, NC – In the final major high-power rifle competition this competitive season, Team Remington shooters were recently awarded Overall Team and Match Rifle champions at the 2014 Western Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Games and Creedmoor Cup matches held at Ben Avery Shooting Range in Phoenix, Arizona on October 14-19, 2014.

It’s practical shooting’s most prestigious event .A tournament that occurs once every 3 years, the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shoot draws competitors from more than 80 countries around the globe. Shooters not only compete for individual titles, but also it’s the one event in the sport where countries put forth teams with the hopes of bringing home medals.

While shooting guns is part of the protocol for our Special Forces, it’s a very special day for Special Forces wives when they get to fire guns in a training session on a range. On Sat., Oct. 25, 16 Army wives of active duty Special Forces soldiers from Ft. Bragg attended a Special Forces 3rd Group Gun Safety course, hosted by the Special Forces Charitable Trust and sponsored by Remington Arms. Oak Grove Technologies Training Center, adjacent to Camp Mackall, N.C., provided the range.

HOUSTON, Texas –Team Comp-Tac‘s Randi Rogers won the bronze medal in individual competition in the Ladies Standard Division at the International Practical Shooting Confederation’s (IPSC) World Championship October 13th-17th, 2014, in Frostproof, Fla. Rogers’ third place performance also helped secure the gold medal for the women of Team USA’s Ladies Standard squad.
