A man who escaped from the Central State Correctional Institute in Georgia on Dec. 27, 1981 was captured by U.S. Marshals Wednesday in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, after eluding authorities for more than three decades.

Willie Lee Austin, now 60, was serving a 15-year sentence for armed robbery when he escaped from prison, but a recent probe into the investigation by the Marshals Service found a possible alias for Austin with an address in Lauderdale Lakes matching the fake name.

Authorities acted on the newly discovered information and Austin was taken into custody without incident.

It seems the silliness of gun control comes in waves.  Earlier this year, we were treated to the call to wear orange on the 2nd of June.  But the latest is reminiscent of Tipper Gore’s push to regulate music.  New Yorkers Against Gun Violence has joined interns from Bartle Bogle Hegarty, an advertising firm with an office in New York City, in a campaign to #DisarmTheiPhone.

Its called Global Archery Attack, and the rules are simple: you eliminate your enemies by skewering them with a foam tipped arrow.

According to the site for this epic game that we hate isn’t over here yet, two teams, consisting of 5 players each take the field with safety gear and their bows– but only one team can win. You remove another player weaker opponent from the game by zapping them with an arrow or by snatching one of theirs from the air before it hits you.

Players, according to organizers, “experience virtually no pain.”

Virtually.
