Opinion: Is gun violence a public health problem or a crime problem?
Last Tuesday, a coalition of 8 health professional organizations and the American Bar Association published a “call to action” on firearm-related injury and death. The report attempts to address gun violence as a public health problem, and lists six recommendations “aimed at reducing the health and public health consequences of firearms.”

Opinion: ND at the Great American Outdoors Show needs to be talked about
Editor’s Note: Guns.com was able to confirm through PA State Press Secretary Troy Thompson that on February 12, 2015, Capitol police responded to reports of a gunshot at the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, PA. Officers ascertained that two vendors were involved, a single handgun round was fired into the ground and that no injuries occurred.

...Tampa officers find dog shot three times and tied to a train track
Officers responding to several calls of shots being fired in Tampa Wednesday evening came across a disturbing scene with a severely injured dog. The dog, given the name Cabela by the officers, had been shot twice in the neck and once in the shoulder. The dog also had her neck tied to a train track using a belt.

DOJ investigation into Ferguson Police Department
The Department of Justice on Wednesday cleared Officer Darren Wilson in the killing of Michael Brown but said that Ferguson police and courts regularly discriminate against black people.
