This is how war would be if it was all daisies and lollipops (VIDEO)

Wed, 12/03/2014 - 16:00

Movie makers Pierre & Bertrand of Not To Scale spent four years producing “La Detente” which tells the tale of a French soldier in the trenches of World War I, who became paralyzed with fear. Rather than accepting his current reality, the film goes into his mind’s eye where the soldiers become toys and the weapons become daisies and lollipops. But while it starts out cheery, the ending becomes increasingly dark.

The short film has won a variety of awards and was played at the Cannes film festival in 2011.
