A B-52H Stratofortress armed with 45 surplus M117 750-pound dumb bombs obliterated a desert island. The hulking aircraft dropped the M117s from its bomb bay door and seconds later the impact can seen far below.

With a little trial and error, “redneck scientist” DemolitionRanch managed to convert a standard fire extinguisher into a potentially lethal missile.

He loaded the canister into a PVC pipe and shot off the top. The sudden release of pressure was enough to propel the extinguisher over a small lake – an impressive distance.

While this may not be the most practical method for taking out bad guys, it would certainly prove a stylish way to put out a fire.

If you’re a new shooter, first of all, welcome to the club. You’re probably feeling a little in over your head though, wrestling with new concepts like recoil management, trigger operation, caliber selection and “stopping power,” all of which are hotly-debated with experts all over the map championing different standards, methods and systems.

That doesn’t even begin to tap the bottomless well of things like grip types, shooting stances and here, sight methods. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
