When the balloon went up on what is now known today as the Second World War, the Allies of the US, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union found themselves facing perhaps the best military machine of its day. Their enemies, that of the Empire of Japan and Nazi Germany, were equipped with some of the most advanced sniper rifles in the world. Moreover, the Allies had to play catch-up fast.

This historical time lapse compares WWI photos of Antwerp, Belgium, to photos taken in 2014.

The video is like a teaser trailer for an art exhibition designed by Exponanza for Simon Stevin. The interactive exhibition will teach visitors of the outbreak of the First World War, the German invasion, the siege of Antwerp, and the surrender and occupation, Forten 1914 reports.

The exhibition will continue until June 25, so if you’re in Antwerp, stop by KBC-Tower to check it out.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper sat down with Late Show host David Letterman to talk gun control.

Cooper said America “isn’t ready” or “isn’t willing” to tackle the “gun control problem,” adding that if Sandy Hook wasn’t enough to spur action, then nothing will, according to the video posted to YouTube.

Letterman said he’s not “anti-gun,” but wanted to know “for the love of Christ, when are we going to do something about this nonsense?”
