Customer At Store Shoots Armed Robbers During Attempted Heist

Wed, 05/24/2017 - 15:40

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – As two armed teenagers entered a convenience store one night this month, they weren’t expecting an armed customer to ruin their plans.

On Friday, two people came into the convenience store around 9:45 p.m., one brandishing a gun, another a Taser, owner Jamal Hamden said.

At that point a customer shot one of the pair, Hamden said. Both fled without taking any money.

That customer, at the right place at the right time, took care of unfortunate business that he or she was forced into.

When police arrived, the found one of the suspects nearby with a gunshot wound. It seems that the other suspect got away, but police are looking to talk with the injured suspect once he is able to speak with them.

And that’s about it for this story. Another armed citizen who refused to be a victim, or let others be victimized.

Gun is a Para Expert Commander 1911

Holster is a Galco King Tuck

Belt is a Galco Carry Lite

I like the light weight and reliability of this weapon ( No feed failures or jams in over 100 rounds fired.) and the all day comfort of the holster. I forget it’s there sometimes, and it makes for easy concealment under light garments.

Concealed Carrier Shoots Armed Robber In Groin During Carjacking Attempt

Wed, 05/17/2017 - 13:05

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS — Two armed carjackers were in for a surprise when their victim was armed with a handgun of his own. One of the carjackers is even worse off, because he wound up being shot in the groin by the armed citizen.

At 11:32 a.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man was standing outside his vehicle in the 5300 block of South Pulaski when he was approached by two males who demanded his keys, police said at the time. One of the males was armed with a handgun.

The victim, who has a valid concealed carry license, pulled out a weapon and fired, striking one of the suspects, police said.

Guillermo Parada, 25, and John Zuniga, 22, were both charged with armed robbery. In the photo above, that’s Parada on the left. He was the lucky recipient of the groin shot because of his stupidity.

Parada was sent to the hospital and was in stable condition.

Both are due back in court May 17th.

These two hopefully learned their lesson but sadly, that’s not usually the case. At the very least, let’s hope Parada learned his lesson after being shot. If word gets out that there are many more armed citizens than ever before who refuse to be victims, these thugs might start to find new ways of earning a living. You know, like getting a ******* job.

[VIDEO] Colion Noir’s Road Rage Encounter

Sun, 05/14/2017 - 16:17

Mr. Noir is well-known and well-liked in the gun world, and he recently shared a video on his YouTube page that discussed his recent encounter with a little bit of road rage.

Basically, without provocation, he was being aggressively followed by someone who just wouldn’t go away. Of course he was armed and had to make some decisions during this unwanted encounter.

Take a look at the video to see how he handled it and let us know what you would have done, or if you’ve ever found yourself in a similar situation.

#DIGTHERIG – John and his Smith and Wesson M&P Shield in a Q Series Stealth & Bianchi Holster

Sun, 05/14/2017 - 15:07

This is my Smith and Wesson M&P Shield.  I carry it in 2 different holsters:  A Q Series Stealth IWB when I’m at work (Have to tuck my shirt in.) and a Bianchi Model 57 OWB holster all other times.  Both holsters are very comfortable and easy to conceal.  The Q Series is especially great for deep concealment and comes with an optional paracord.   Also carry a spare magazine in a Bianchi magazine holster.  My belt is a 5.11 Tactical and the ammo I use is Federal Premium Law Enforcement 147 grain HST.

1 – Sig Sauer P320 subcompact 9mm, along with a spare magazine in an Alien Gear mag carrier.

2 – I carry my P320 in my Alien Gear IWB holster

3 – This was my first gun ever, and I was unsure of what to buy or later what to carry it in. After looking through Massachusetts’ “very limited” approved weapons roster, I narrowed it down to a few guns based on looks and features. After researching extensively online I had my sights set on the P320. It had dazzled so many other gun owners as far as accuracy and reliability, and I liked the modular design of being able to switch calibers and sizes. I was not disappointed. I ultimately chose the Alien Gear holster to accompany it as it seemed to have the best reviews and the flexibility to adjust tension, height, and angle helped to put my newbie worries at ease seeing that my job requires a lot of movement.

Man Shoots Himself In The Goods While Exiting Vehicle: Why The Right Holster Matters

Wed, 05/10/2017 - 01:56

TOLEDO, OHIO — A man exiting his car needed to call 911 in a hurry, because the firearm he was carrying had discharged. Into his penis.

The single gunshot wound went through his penis and thigh, eventually hitting the driver seat. We can only imagine that his firearm wasn’t holstered properly, as that’s the likely culprit of a negligent discharge while moving around in such a fashion. Or, maybe he wasn’t using a holster at all.

News reports say that he’s in the hospital with serious injuries but is expected to be ok. How ok he’s expected to be isn’t clear, but hopefully he’s really ok.

We’ve seen things like this happen before and it’s never a pretty sight. If you’re not using a holster, or if you’re using a crappy holster, it’s time to re-evaluate your setup. If you don’t, you could wind up in a story on our website.

I carry a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson M&P Shield tucked in an Alien Gear 3.0 at the 4/5 o’clock position. I work a desk job and it sits there comfortably for 9 hours a day. The gun and holster both are not only incredibly priced, but the quality is there too. The Shield fits my hand great and with the aftermarket add-on’s it is super easy to shoot accurately, even with a snappy round like the 40s&w. Here’s a pic of everything in my EDC kit except the holster.

“Don’t Make Me Pull My Piece” Robber’s Words Right Before Running After Clerk Pulls His Own Piece

Sun, 05/07/2017 - 19:03

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A wannabe thug had some tough words for a clerk while he attempted to rob him, but the clerk used actions over words instead.

Local news reports;

Austin Lodge, 24, went into the Sutton Inn on Emily Drive at approximately 2 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk, according to the Clarksburg Police Department.

The clerk told police that Lodge, who was wearing a black hoodie, jeans with sequins, and earrings, covered his face and said, “Don’t make me pull my piece.”

Before Lodge had a chance to back up his words, the clerk pulled out his own piece and pointed it at him. Lodge quickly had all the thug drained out of him and took off running, apparently being afraid of an armed citizen that’s willing to fight back.

Lodge was arrested when he was found at another hotel and was arrested. He’s facing a charge of first-degree robbery.

And that’s the story. Nice and simple, don’t you think?

I carry A Sig Sauer P226 Combat in a T-Rex Arms Sidecar appendix holster. I carry the P226 because it was the handgun that I learned to shoot on and because it is the handgun I am most proficient with and that’s whats important. Its heavy and large but that is what works for me and I enjoy carrying this gun. Small guns are great, but I always carry the biggest gun I can effectively conceal and operate. The holster allows me to draw quickly and efficiently from all positions while not sacrificing comfort. It was well thought out and designed for speed, comfort and concealability, even with a gun the size and weight of the P226. I also carry the Spyderco Matriarch 2 knife at all times and when the gun can not be carried.

Ok so I know my EDC setup isn’t gonna overwhelm anyone. But after trying so many holsters and guns THIS is what I will actually consistently carry every day.

It’s a KelTec P32 in an Uncle Mikes front pocket holster.

Like I say pretty underwhelming. But it conceals perfectly in everything, even shorts. Not too heavy, bulky, sharp, etc.
I can draw easily and quickly put rounds on target and it’s a surprisingly accurate little gun and goes bang every time. Plus no fighting with the holster to put it on and have it bug me all day.

I try to keep my EDC items small yet functional so I will actually carry them.
Cuz like the old saying goes: a .32 in the pocket beats a .45 in the truck right? :)
