Gear Review: Holosun AEMS Multi-Reticle Micro Red Dot Sight
Holosun has been making waves in the optics industry. The company went from producing simple red dots to producing affordable, but surprisingly durable mini red dots like the 507C and 509T and the class-leading 507K.
Their latest optic is the AEMS, representing a break from the standard Holosun optic. The AEMS represents not only a new naming convention for Holsoun, but really shows they can innovate.
Design and Features of the AEMS
AEMS standards for Advanced Enclosed Micro Sight, and that’s an apt description (other than maybe ‘micro’ which, to me, is reserved for pistol-sized sights.
The Spread of Constitutional Carry Has Dealt the Moms and Everytown Their Biggest ‘L’ Yet
A little over a year ago, I wrote about the amazing progress constitutional carry had made, though not without a number of failed efforts. The total at the time was 18 states, something that seemed unimaginable just a few years earlier. It wasn’t long ago that there were still fights to move no-issue states into the may-issue column, and may-issue states to shall-issue. No-issue is now ostensibly down to just a single state.
In other words, in the not-so-olden days, being able to carry, even with a permit, was a fight.
Anti-Gun, Anti-Hunting Academics Should Educate Themselves
There was a time in America when universities taught young adults how to think, not what to think. Take an idea floated by two university professors who want to upend the funding firearm manufactures and importers pay for wildlife restoration and conservation. They want America to think because criminals misuse guns that the industry making them shouldn’t have a hand in wildlife conservation.
Two professors, John Cassellas Connors, Assistant Professor of Geography, Texas A&M University and Christopher Rhea, Assistant Professor of Public Affairs, The Ohio State University, propose this idea is essential because hunters are in decline and gun ownership is somehow immoral.

Academics and Anti-Gunners Can’t or Won’t Recognize That Violence Can Be Virtuous
In the acknowledgements [to Empire of Guns], the author, who’s a history professor at Stanford University writes, “Like everything I write, this book is for my children. In 2010 when Amman was four, she asked a Policeman who was sitting at our local taqueria why he had a gun. The policeman explained he had it to protect everyone from bad guys. And Amman bravely replied, ‘But if you have a gun, then you are a bad guy.'”
Now, I don’t know this author.
Gun Review: SIG SAUER P322 .22LR Rimfire Pistol
No, SIG SAUER’s new .22LR pistol — the P322 — is not a P320. But you’d be forgiven for mistaking it for one at first glance. When SIG set out to fill the rimfire hole in their handgun lineup, they didn’t decide to have another company build the new gun for them. Instead, unlike other entrants in the rimfire pistol space, SIG embarked on a 15-month effort to design and build the new P322 themselves.

Firm Helps Gun Dealers Fight Back Against Biden’s Weaponization of ATF in War on Gun Dealers
By Lee Williams
The Biden-Harris administration is not hiding their goal of eliminating as many gun dealers as possible. They recently ordered the ATF to start revoking Federal Firearm Licenses for even the most minor of paperwork issues. This level of weaponization is unprecedented, even for the ATF.
It’s clear that the administration mistakenly believes that if they reduce the number of gun dealers, they will reduce the number of guns.
New York City’s Eric Adams Teams Up With Chicago’s Lori Lightfoot In A Race To The Bottom
It’s generally considered well worthwhile to seek the advice of others with more experience when taking on a new job. By seeking the counsel of an accomplished, recognized authority in a particular field, you can avoid costly mistakes and benefit from the lessons others have already learned. That’s why it’s so baffling that New York City’s new Mayor Eric Adams chose to travel to Chicago to seek the “wisdom” of the Windy City’s Lori Lightfoot in how to deal with the Big Apple’s violent crime problem.

Washington State Cannabis Shop Regrets the Need For Armed Security
KING5 in Seattle reported on a pot shop that’s hired armed security following a pair of armed robberies in recent months. They must have found the only pot shop in America that didn’t already have a guard with a gun. Then again, many pot shops in Washington State advertise themselves as “no guns” locations for customers. They also (obviously) have recreational pharmaceuticals and, thanks to banking regulations, deal exclusively in cash, making them ideal targets for violent criminals.

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Man Saved From Drowning Attacks Rescuers, Gets Shot Dead
Guardian angels in a pontoon boat rescued a couple who were thrown from a rogue Jet Ski on Lake Keowee in western South Carolina. As frequently happens, no good deed goes unpunished as the male half of the couple, already agitated at losing control of his personal watercraft, turned his aggression on the pontoon boat owners and assaulted them.
One thing led to another and, fearing for his life and that of his wife, the good Samaritan boat captain shot Nathan Morgan, 29, (not pictured above) once in the chest, killing him dead right there.
Full-Feature Rimfire: SIG SAUER Announces the New P322 .22LR Pistol
One of the few firearms that’s been conspicuous by its absence in the extensive SIG SAUER lineup is a .22LR pistol (SIG would probably prefer that you purge the GSG-made Mosquito from your memory bank). So when the decision was made to add a new rimfire semi-auto handgun, SIG made the entirely reasonable decision to built it from the ground up using the P320 general blueprint.
Unlike the dearly departed Mosquito, this new compact-size pistol isn’t an outsourced product.

Miami Beach Declares State of Emergency as Spring Break Shootings Multiply
Thousands of college students and other young people gather annually in Miami Beach for spring break, and this is the second year in a row that officials for the South Florida city have declared a state of emergency in this famed partying spot.
The mayor said about 100 guns have been seized over the past four weeks, and several police officers have been injured while controlling the crowds.
“We can’t endure this anymore.
Indiana Joins the Club – Governor Holcomb Signs Constitutional Carry Into Law
Two dozen. With the addition of Indiana, the constitutional carry club now has 24 members. Three (so far) in 2022. Governor Eric Holcomb signed the bill into law this afternoon and issued this statement . . .
The Second Amendment has been debated for years, yet time and again our U.S. Supreme Court has reaffirmed this important constitutional right that I fully support. Twenty-three other states have laws comparable to HEA 1296.

25 Years (and a Lot of Reviews) of Henry Repeating Arms
Henry Repeating Arms turns 25 years old this year. Oh, how time flies.
I first met Anthony Imperato for coffee in a hotel lobby off the banks of Lake Austin. I was recruiting companies to move to Texas, and by choice and by law, firearms companies were high on my hunting list.
That was more than a decade ago, but I already knew who Henry Repeating Arms was. In fact, I was a big fan, and had a couple of their rifles.

South Carolina Corrections Department Brings Back Firing Squads For Executions
If you kill someone in South Carolina, they now stand ready to kill you back. With difficulties in obtaining the drugs needed for lethal injections, the Palmetto State once again has accommodations for firing squad executions in addition to Ol’ Sparky, the electric chair for carrying out death sentences.
Yes, for those who don’t want to ride the lightning, thanks to improvements made to the execution chamber at Broad River Correctional Institute in Columbia, death row inmates now can opt for a firing squad.
HAVE IT YOUR WAY: Burger King Employee Shoots At Customer Who Tossed Mayonnaise At Her
Shateasha Hicks didn’t get the “have it your way” memo when she started working at a Burger King in Miami. Cops say the 30-year-old employee took it personally when a customer tossed a mayonnaise packet at her last week. In fact, she believed her life to be in such imminent danger that she went outside, retrieved a gun from her car, and then fired off five rounds as the now mayo-less customer drove away.
Instead of sticking around to speak with police, she drove away herself, ditched her car near her residence and disappeared to parts unknown.
How One Stupid New York Gun Owner Made A Ukraine Meme Real
When the Ukraine war started, and the United States started increasing weapon and ammunition shipments, this meme started making the rounds on social media . . .
The United States military obviously wouldn’t send a New York-compliant AR-15 to an ally…or anyone else they supported. The lack of a number of useful features, like a flash hider, pistol grip, telescoping stock, and in some cases, the ability to change magazines, all would put someone in a war zone at a serious disadvantage.
