It’s been a good while since we posted a video about shooting magnets from a shotgun shell, and this one seems just as interesting – if not moreso.

It is rather amazing how many bow hunters never practice shooting their bows. Then they are dismissive when they miss that big buck that wandered into their shooting lane. Shooting a hunting bow is tough enough to nail a target like a deer, especially from an elevated stand, but if you do not practice those shooting skills, how can you expect success?

With $25 to spend on two items, you are basically forced to pick seriously compromised designs. The Fenix E01 is a good light, but the lack of a multimode output is definitely behind the times. At $50, you can get real, fully functional stuff. The gear is not top of the line and there are things missing, but a $50 kit will work.

I was sitting on the front porch of my hunting cabin out in the boonies, which also serves as my primary bug out hideout just relaxing taking in the sunrise. We felt like the immediate camp yard was secure. The front steel gate was locked with a heavy chain wrap. Our cabins are not visible from the highway.

Now here’s a real oddball. This is a French 12 gauge over/under shotgun that loads through the side of the frame.

This is kinda fun.

Redneck with 22 pistol vs. spoon. Er, spoons. Plus a meat cleaver and then a skillet. And the redneck is fairly loquacious and humorous. I mean, he talks a good deal and he’s funny. And then, a 50 BMG rifle.

With any decay of morals comes a lack of value for life. This leads to an increase in violence, as fewer people are taught to value the lives of their fellow humans.

As the dog days of summer wear on and the temperatures drop at night to downright pleasant levels, it is time for an update of my Recommendation Series (here is a link to all of the previous Recommendation Series I have done, phew that is a lot of work). The premise is simple–find the best gear at a given price range.

My dad was huge with the idea of redundancy. He had two or three of everything, so if something broke or got lost, he had one or likely more backups. I suppose this is why I have three complete sets of screwdrivers: one in the garage, one in the storage room, and one in a grab bag tool box. I feel the same way about having more than one kind of sight installed on my ARs.

Budgets are tight these days. That remains the case despite the so-called good economic news coming from WH reports. Accordingly everybody simply cannot afford a multi-gun survival arsenal. So, if for now you can only buy and support one gun for survival and prepping, what should it be?
