Huldra Ad with No Headline
While not every ad needs a lot of copy, this one could use a headline even if the picture makes you stop and look.
If you could write a headline, what would it be? Power at your Fingertips? The Last Gun You’ll Ever Need? A Huldra is Forever?
At the very least they could have written Introducing “Name of the Gun”.
Hispanic Jeweler Shoots Burglar
The rate of Hispanics who support our Second Amendment is lower, so I’m happy when I can show you stories like this:
ELGIN, Texas (KXAN) — Elgin police say a jewelry store owner shot and killed a burglar inside the store early Monday morning.
Just before 1 a.m., police responded to a call about shots fired along Highway 290. Upon arrival at Harper’s Jewelry Store, between Ochoa and Main streets, the store owner reportedly told police he had shot and killed a burglary suspect.
Police say the owner was in a back room when 41-year-old Robert Trevino broke in with a hammer and tried to break a jewelry case. That’s when the owner confronted him with a .12-gauge shotgun.
“The suspect turned toward the owner, had something in his hand that we later found out was a hammer, and the owner shot the suspect one time, killing him instantly,” said Elgin police Chief Chris Bratton. Police say Trevino was hit once in the neck.
Police say then the store owner, 46-year-old Juan Torres, ran into the parking lot and opened fire on Trevino’s truck. Police say two women sitting inside the vehicle were Trevino’s accomplices. They were hit by flying glass, but no bullets. They were identified as Sulema Sanchez, 48, and 37-year-old Amanda Yanes
Ad Review: #Springfield Armory Range Officer
This gun ad won’t win any awards (as if any of them would), but it’s extremely well-designed, the used of white space is glorious, the photography is perfect, and whoever invented the name of the gun was brilliant.
Who doesn’t want to be a Range Officer? It’s a name that has authority and respect. With that said, the headline could be better.
1. Using New was a good choice, New and Free are the most powerful words in advertising
2. Why are you repeating yourself? “New Range Officer. Now in 9MM” is better than saying “range officer” three times. This isn’t radio, you don’t have to repeat the name of your brand so people don’t forget it
One Shot, One Kill- Ad from #Savage Arms
This is a great ad. The headline is extremely powerful, and no liberals, it doesn’t say “Kill People,” it’s a HUNTING rifle, so don’t freak out.
I like the fact that they use a celebrity, that’s not always necessary but it can help sell a brand. It makes sense they mention human kills since hunters don’t like to shoot the same animal twice.
The design is also clean. As for the logos, I’m glad us gun owners are a politically incorrect bunch, because I’m sure liberals are offended by having the word savage next to the face of an Indian.
Ad Review: Ruger LCR
Interesting example of marketing guns to women. Her look of determination and self-reliance is priceless, the headline is a little dry and product-centered, but that’s OK. I would have preferred a two word headline like “Real Smooth”
Good advertising assumes the target is lazy and doesn’t want to read the ads, so the last thing you want to do is make them work.
Ad Review: Pavona from American Armory Corporation
This #gun ad needs help. First of all, you’ve got too much copy, a good ad is supposed to excite you and lead you to the website, not tell you every single thing you need to know.
Also, why have “Witness Pavona” in the headline? “Her Gun. Her Way” is a better headline. Saying the name of your brand twice doesn’t help.
Only Six Democrats Voted for Pro-Gun Bill in Florida
If you own guns and vote for the Democrats, you need to read this:
The Florida House of Representatives passed a bill Friday that one local sheriff is calling “crazy” and “absurd.” The NRA-backed HB 209, which passed 80-36 with just six Democrats voting in favor, would allow Flordia residents to carry concealed weapons in public during evacuations caused by toxic spills, hurricanes, riots or other emergencies, the Miami Herald reports.
The Florida Sheriffs Association lobbied against the bill, saying it fails to specify when and where a gun owner could carry a concealed weapon during an evacuation order “The bill is crazy, it’s absurd,” Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told the paper.
On the other hand, the sponsors of the bill are declaring victory before a companion measure has the chance to come up for a vote in the State Senate. “The bells of liberty are surely ringing throughout Florida today,” Rep. Heather Fitzenhagen (R-Fort Myers) said. “We are making sure that no Floridian in lawful possession of a firearm must leave it behind while evacuating in an officially declared state of emergency.”
One of the Hou
Book Review: White Girl Bleed A lot
Colin Flaherty’s White Girl Bleed A lot is a real masterpiece:
The only book to document the recent epidemic of black mob violence, including the Knockout Game: Hundreds of examples in more than 100 cities. In the last three years.
Thomas Sowell: ”Reading Colin Flaherty’s book made painfully clear to me that the magnitude of this problem is greater than I had discovered from my own research. He documents both the race riots and the media and political evasions in dozens of cities.” – National Review.
Sean Hannity: White Girl Bleed a Lot ”has gone viral.”
Los Angeles Times: “a favorite of conservative voices.”
Alex Jones: “Brilliant. Could not put it down.”
Neal Boortz: “Colin Flaherty has become Public Enemy

The book is extremely factual, it doesn’t offer solutions or gets preachy about how parents need to be better, instead, it shows you the problem and how the police, journalists, and Big Education is reacting about it.
It will make you angry, but it also shows you why you need a gun. Basically, if you don’t have a
How Rolling Stone Lies about Gun Advertising
In the photo gallery of “The Gun Industry’s Nine Most Outrageous Marketing Ploys” they show the picture below and claim the following:
A Sniper Rifle of His Own
Gunmaker Barrett specializes in selling military-grade, anti-personnel and anti-materiel sniper rifles to couch potatoes who like to imagine themselves as members of the Special Forces. The tagline says it all.

A tagline is a line of copy that usually goes under the logo, as in “American Express. Don’t Leave Home Without It” or “Visa. It’s Everywhere You Want to Be.” Great taglines can last anywhere 50-years or longer.
Secondly, there are
When Republicans Ban Guns
I was googling “gun ad” when I found this interesting story:
Congress members seek ban on firearm importing:
…..
The ban on importing military-style weapons began during the George H.W. Bush administration. Bush took action following the 1989 shooting deaths of five children and the wounding of 30 others at Cleveland Elementary School in Stockton, Calif., by gunman Patrick Purdy, who used an imported AK-47 rifle.
The ban continued under President Bill Clinton but lapsed under President George W. Bush, according to Engel, who initiated the House letter.

Kudos to George W. Bush for letting that stupid ban expire, and my congrats to gun owners that refuse to let emotions influence gun laws.
I don’t care what weapons the bad guys use, whether it’s Joe Biden’s shotgun or a samurai sword or a handgun or molotov cocktails, their actions should never result in gun bans.
Bullets Over Broadway- The Hypocrisy of Liberal Art
Here’s an interesting play you might want to watch:
NEW YORK – The new musical “Bullets Over Broadway” begins with a Mafia goon firing a machine gun into the theater curtain, spelling out the title of the show.
The bullets are a staccato punctuation that the award-winning director and choreographer is back to her winning ways after a few stumbles, including this season’s uneven “Big Fish.”
But at the helm of this thrilling Woody Allen 1994 film adaptation, Stroman has created musical theater bliss, fittingly at the St. James Theatre, the venue where her last megahit, “The Producers,” was staged.
“Bullets Over Broadway” opened Thursday and has to have become a Tony Award favorite.
…
When the critical reviews of the fictional play come out at the end of the show, the consensus must be the same about this fun, beautiful musical: “A work of art of the highest caliber.”

So let me get this straight, according to liberals, it’s not OK to take your 11-year-old daughter to the gun range or your 6-year-old hunting or for a woman to carr
Ann Coulter Defends Guns at Notre Dame
Ann Coulter, my favorite female conservative, gave a speech for the Notre Dame College Republicans’ Lincoln Day event, here’s what she said about guns:
Coulter also addressed the issue of gun control, particularly in light of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, Conn., in Dec. 2013.
“After Newtown, [Democrats] were all on their high horses … but then senate leader, Democrat Harry Reid, couldn’t even get enough Democrats to hold a vote on the so-called assault weapons ban,” she said.
Coulter said liberals cite “bogus statistics” in an attempt to scare people away from guns, but she said she refuses to believe their arguments so long as liberals themselves continue to utilize “armed security,” such as bodyguards.
“As soon as politicians and these media bigwigs give up their guns or their armed security, I’ll believe them when they tell me that guns aren’t helpful,” she said. “Until then, they’re like stockbrokers telling you to ‘buy, buy, buy,’ while they’re selling, selling, selling.
“I think Americans know this. They know bald-faced hypocrisy when they see it.”
Coulter said the issue of gun control highlights her belief that as people become more educated about a topic, the more conservative their views
Exploding Target Results in Search Warrant
MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP – The loud booms heard in the Mount Carmel area from about 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday were the result of someone shooting at exploding targets, authorities said Wednesday.
The target practice wastaking place at the former police shooting range near Mount Carmel Estates on Mid Valley Mountain north of the borough.
According to a Facebook comment made late Tuesday night, an individual, Jason Bower, of Mount Carmel, claimed responsibility for the incident.
“IT WAS ME! GEEZ!,” Bower wrote in response to a Facebook post about the loud noise. “I was at the shooting range at the top of the mountain! I had a really (expletive) day and didn’t know the sound would carry as much. Some ppl get hammered after a bad day. Me? I like to shoot guns. My bad. It was out of Borough limits and I didn’t think it’d be that bad…”
Township Police Chief Brian Hollenbush said his department served a search warrant Wednesday in the borough in relation to the incident, and it remains under investigation.
“One of our officers said he could feel the percussion from the explosions,” Hollenbush said Wednesday. “It was ridiculous.”

Did the NRA sell out conservatives with Cochran?
The blogosphere is angry with “RINO traitor Thad Cochran,” here’s what one blogger had to say:
The sun rises, the sun sets, and the NRA endorses another RINO traitor. Thad Cochran is the most recent bureaucratic coward that the NRA is sucking up to, but he will not be the last. I am sick of the NRA selling out conservatives to support these idiots.
The NRA couldn’t care less about whether their politicians are committed to gun rights or any other cause. All they really care about is money. You might remember back in 2010, when they were going to endorse Harry Reid before conservatives flipped out. What had Reid done to deserve their blessing? Secured a $61 million earmark for an NRA shooting range in Nevada.
There is no rational reason why any gun group would endorse Thad Cochran over Chris McDaniel. Cochran doesn’t give a rat’s a$$ about guns, but McDaniel has fought for gun rights in Mississippi by writing a State Senate bill to protect Mississippians from a federal gun grab. That is why the National Association of Gun Rights endorsed McDaniel. In their endorsement they said: “Gun owners
