Mon, 08/03/2015 - 11:15

New York Times columnist Timothy Egan has written an article titled, “Guns and the Two Americas,” offering his take on gun violence in the United States.  I’m sorry to say that I found nothing surprising in what he wrote—with regard to his use of statistics and to his attitude toward regions and people in this country who are not like him.

Sat, 08/01/2015 - 15:28

Firearm Science: Secrets to best trap shooting form (VIDEO)

Fri, 07/31/2015 - 17:27

Olympic trap shooter Corey Cogdell demonstrates proper stance, mount and sighting techniques with a shotgun in the latest installment of Firearm Science.

Alaskan-born Cogdell is a two-time Olympian, walking away with the bronze in the Women’s Trap event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She then went on to grab gold at both the 2009 National Championship and 2010 Championship of the Americas in Rio the next year, so you can say she knows her way around that Krieghoff trap series in the video.

Watch and learn.

Since when was killing an animal such a big deal? A big game hunter now receives death threats and his business is about to be closed down? Insanity. I feel bad for this guy who happened to kill an animal with a human name, not because he killed the lion, but because wackos want him dead and are crucifying him in the media and social media. Why? What’s the big deal? Who cares?! There are more important things to worry about. There’s no need to make such a huge deal over something so miniscule.
