The San Quentin Giants: America’s favorite pastime meets California’s most infamous prison (VIDEO)

Tue, 10/28/2014 - 14:08

The New York Times compiled a short yet stunning documentary of the San Quentin Giants, the baseball team made up of prisoners from the state’s oldest and most notorious prison. Their jerseys are second-hand and their sports equipment stored in secure facilities, but the players can some together and forget their differences, if even for a bit, while on the diamond nestled amongst the 432-acre facility overlooking the bay area.

Amazing video of building demolition (VIDEO)

Mon, 10/27/2014 - 16:30

Because sometimes watching approximately 380 feet of metal fall flat in under 30 seconds is just kinda cool, provided it was planned that way.

The demolition of the AFE Tower in Frankfurt, Germany, which was captured via GoPro, used nearly a ton of explosives.

Editorial: Out sexual predators, not concealed carriers

Mon, 10/27/2014 - 15:27

It seems odd to me, even un-American, how citizens of this great nation can have such conflicting views on subjects that affect all of us. A gentleman earns a permit to carry a concealed firearm, part of his Second Amendment rights, while a lady in the same town expresses her low opinion of the practice openly and in public, her rights also guaranteed under the First Amendment to our Constitution — and one right comes to undermine the execution of the other?

Violent mob caught on video, but don’t worry, it’s just a little Russian fun (VIDEO)

Mon, 10/27/2014 - 14:54

While young American boys may be entertained by violent video games, Russian kids apparently like to take a more hands-on, outdoorsy approach. At least that’s the general consensus after a video was posted showing about 80 young boys meet up for a quick and bloody brawl, then shake hands and part ways.

“We are talking about Russian fun. Participants gathered on buses, greeted each other, and after a scuffle expressed gratitude for their participation. No one was seriously hurt,” a local news site reported and also said the gathering was a “reconciliation.”
