Israel shot down a homemade Hamas drone that was flying in their airspace Monday.

The homemade surveillance drone was buzzing over the Israel’s southern coast when the country’s military launched a Patriot missile and shot it out of the sky, the ABC-affiliate reports.

Hamas said the drone had flown “three missions over Israeli military bases” before it was destroyed, and even offered video proof to back up their claim. However, as the drone in the footage is armed, it may not the same one.

According to a senior Israeli military intelligence official, Hamas likely launched the drone to garner media attention.

The Military Arms Channel on BCM: Better than Colt? (VIDEO)

Tue, 07/15/2014 - 20:06

I also often recommend Bravo Company rifles and uppers to people looking for a rifle that’s a solid step above the entry level when it comes to ARs, especially because they give you so much for the money. Even their cheap stuff is great.

Now saying their products are better than Colt might strike some as a type of heresy, but they make a good case. Especially about the handguards. There are a few other companies that make light, narrow handguards out there and it’s a trend that I hope sticks around, especially with KeyMod and M-Lok.

What do you think? Is BCM better than Colt? If not, than who? LMT? LWRC? DD? PWS? Let’s hear it.

DARPA’s Big Dog saw its first real-world action in Hawaii during the RIMPAC 2014, a multinational maritime war games.

The robotic monstrosity known as the LS3 performed well across various types of terrain and was able to keep up with the bipedal Marines with ease.

While Big Dog has been in development for years, this marks the first time it has been deployed.
