Sanders: Gun control no ‘magic formula’ for terrorism (VIDEO)

Mon, 12/07/2015 - 14:23

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said Sunday that no one believes expanded gun control is “a magic formula” to prevent future terror attacks in the U.S., but he still supports several provisions to try to keep guns away from people who should not have them.

In an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Sanders talked about his vision for the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and called for tougher screening policies in the wake of the shooting in San Bernardino, California. Moderator John Dickerson asked why, unlike many Democrats, he did not include gun control in that list.

NV lawmaker shares gun-themed Christmas greetings

Mon, 12/07/2015 - 08:43

Fans of Nevada Assemblywoman Michele Fiore know that she’s pro-gun, but just in case there was any question, a Christmas greeting shared to her Facebook page leaves little doubt.

The greeting shows Fiora with several family members, all – except for the tiniest ones – packing heat. And if you’re curious to know who’s packing what and can’t quite tell by the photograph alone, Fiora listed them all one by one.

Sure beats an ugly sweater photo.
