Two men armed with a handgun and wearing what appeared to be panda suits carried out a robbery at a shop in the English town of Louth Sunday night.

Authorities say the men entered the shop around 7:30 p.m. and forced a female employee to hand over cash from a safe. The woman was not injured, but authorities are still searching for the suspects. They ask anyone in the area to be on the lookout in trash bins for the discarded panda suits.

Fool responsibility

Tue, 12/01/2015 - 09:30

One word that gun control advocates love is responsibility.  I’m frequently told that limits on magazine capacity, on design features, and on quantities of ammunition a person can buy are examples of holding gun owners responsible.  But this is a dangerous distortion of the word itself and of our status in society.

Carbide polycarb slugs vs AR500 armor (VIDEO)

Mon, 11/30/2015 - 17:24

The Taofledermaus crew of merry shotgunners found surprising success with a .70 caliber polycarbonate round with a carbide penetrator against hard plate armor.

The armor used, Level III plate from AR500, held up to a .308 round like a champ but the polycarbonate shotgun slug acted like a sabot for the 1/4-inch carbide core which, propelled by re-purposed Federal low brass, went through the plate like a fat kid through cake.

For more than 30 years, retired Rhode Island Police Officer Tony Lepore has brought good cheer to the city of Providence with the famous dance moves he’d perform while directing holiday traffic.

But he was turned down for the job this season because he protested a Dunkin Donuts restaurant whose employee had written #BlackLivesMatter on a cop’s coffee cup.

The Providence Police Department said Lepore misrepresented the department and committed a “disservice” to the city.
