That’ll clear your sinuses: Military pepper spray training (VIDEO)

Mon, 11/09/2015 - 16:10

Ah, oleoresin capsicum, otherwise known as OC or pepper spray, can cause skin depigmentation, burning, sinus irritation and just overall make you feel miserable.

However, to be able to deploy it in a less lethal use of force situation, you have to gargle with it in training so you know its capabilities and limitations, as these Navy and Marine Corps watchstanders on the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) found out the hot and spicy way recently.

It won’t kill you, and you can fight your way through it as a snot monster, but knowing that doesn’t make it suck any less.

Black man’s post about cops and CCW goes viral

Fri, 11/06/2015 - 16:55

It happened in Arizona, a gun friendly state. Steven Hildreth Jr. was pulled over by cops for a legitimate purpose: his headlight was broken. Steven wasn’t so short-sided to believe all cops are evil.  My guess is he didn’t think he was being targeted for driving while black. In fact, the cops probably couldn’t even see him before the traffic stop anyway since it was dark.

SIG rolls video on the new again P-225 9mm (VIDEO)

Fri, 11/06/2015 - 16:54

Sig Sauer had kept good on its promise to release a new and improved version of their classic P-225 pistol, the A1 variant.

In a short clip posted on Thursday, the company shows some of the highlights of the single-stack, all-metal 9 milly that is most often encountered in the U.S. in its 1980s West German police surplus P6 model.

The re-imaged 225 has a short reset trigger, beveled magwell, fully machined slide and G10 grips, all of which you aren’t gonna find on an old polizei hogleg.

And its now shipping.
