Flare guns and parachutes do not mix (VIDEO)
Exhibition parachutist Brianne Thompson decides to kill a perfectly good parachute with fire– while she is still attached to it.
Of course Thompson, who is an instructor with the AXIS Fight School in Eloy, Arizona, ditched the main chute (or its smoking ruins) and deployed her reserve pretty fast, all while maintaining control of her now-empty flare gun.
Felt like a Red Bull commercial there for a second, but we have to minus her a few points as the canopy that went up in smoke looks a lot like ole’ glory.
In other news, who knew they made parachutes out of compressed gasoline and flash paper?

Supreme Court continues to mull ‘assault weapon’ ban case

A friend of mine called me up a few years back and told me to rush over to his house to look at a whitetail deer he shot. Knowing this friend had a habit of shooting very large deer, I obliged him, assuming this was an invitation I likely shouldn’t pass up. When I pulled up to his house, I saw hanging in his garage the largest whitetail deer that I have ever seen in the flesh to this very day, an Adirondack monster of a 10 pointer, weighing in at 234 pounds dressed.
