A new study has found that states with strong gun control laws also have lower incidents of teens carrying firearms, with a parallel correlation between adult gun ownership and a high rate of teens packing.    

Sure, you maybe a good shot. You may even be a great shot. But can you shoot an egg while balancing one-legged on a tree limb?

While hugging an unstable felled tree like a puma stalking prey, Olympic-level competition shooter Kirsten Joy Weiss takes her Volquartsen custom pistol and goes after a rogue brown egg lurking out there in the bush.

“We just have to overcome those obstacles,” she says (while standing on one leg with a three-pound pistol).

Sounds like a plan.

A fashion show over the weekend in Fayetteville, North Carolina, featured women of all ages, shapes and sizes, wearing a variety of different apparel, but the one thing they had in common was that they were all packing heat in this concealed carry-themed fashion show.

“Women are a growing demographic in the firearms world,” said event organizer Candy Sugarman. “People need to start noticing. Manufacturers are already starting to notice. Government needs to take notice. Women are packing. And it’s a good thing.”

Organizers said the event, which had about 200 in attendance, was about empowering women and showing a number of different ways that they can a concealed firearm and still dress comfortably.

Crazy slingshot guy Joerg Sprave is back with a design for a featherweight crossbow pistol that seems like it would put your eye out for sure.

Hailing from Bavaria, Sprave is a one-man armorer when it comes to slings, bows and other improvised projectile weapons and his latest idea tips the scales at less than a pound.

And what it does to thin water bottles under 80psi of pressure is pretty groovy.
