3 reasons shotguns are better than AR-15s (for police)
For many years shotguns were the long guns of choice for law enforcement agencies. Today, many police departments have turned in these trusty scatterguns for AR-15s. Personally, I believe this is a big mistake—the option of a shotgun in a tactical situation is important. As such, here are three reasons shotguns outperform AR-15s in the realm of law enforcement.

The Tavor in the past few years has made in-roads to the U.S. civilian market and is currently in use with the Israeli Defense Forces. Of course Eric’s is a civilian model but is very nicely equipped with a Meprolight M21 reflex sight with 3x magnifier, Geissele aftermarket internals, and a AAC SDN-6 suppressor inside heat wrap.
And he runs it through a good old urban combat course, Georgia-style.

Shaw, with the Funker Tactical crew, makes a good point that largely refutes the familiar trope you often hear in combat shooting classes.
