I spent much of the ’22-23 winter carrying a SIG P365-XMacro instead of the original P365 that I’ve been carrying as my EDC since early-ish 2018. The additional capacity was great, sure, but it was the optics cut and flatter-shooting, compensated slide that got me to switch.
But…the longer grip is harder to conceal. In preparation for warmer weather and lighter clothing, I connected with ShaloTek and built myself a hybrid gun.

What the Media Doesn’t Want You to Know About Its Mass Murder Narrative

A large group of unsuspecting people was waiting at a bus stop in Brownsville, Texas around 8:30 a.m. Sunday, when a Land Rover suddenly blew through a red light and barreled straight into their midst at a high rate of speed. The bus stop was located outside of the Ozoman Center, which provides care for the city’s burgeoning migrant community.
Eighteen people where hit, six were killed instantly and two died later.

It’s awesome to see more manufacturers coming out with low power variable optics with enough zoom to enter the medium power category. A true 1x, no magnification setting allows running with both eyes open and using the illuminated reticle like a red dot, then cranking up the zoom lever to 10x (in Riton’s case here) allows for precision at longer ranges. It’s a great time to be alive!
Somehow, Riton has managed to launch a 1-10x scope in a more compact size and tube diameter than I’ve seen anywhere else.

It’s That Time Again: NBC Gins Up Another Flawed, Fake News Piece on the Origins of the AR-15 Rifle

In their latest hit piece about an inanimate object, NBC News once again ignores facts, common sense and takes frequent liberties with the truth.
The story, which was somehow labeled news rather than opinion, was published Sunday, titled: “What makes the AR-15 so beloved and so reviled: A rifle with military origins has become one of the country’s most divisive consumer products.”
For the two reporters who wrote the article, the problems began from the start.

Teaching day-long classes on firearm safety, storage, usage, tactics, gun laws, and obtaining a concealed carry permit along with providing basic shooting instruction at a local gun range, Pastor Isaiah Stewart’s 20 years in New Orleans, Louisiana brought him over to the pro-self-defense side of the aisle.

Unreliable Witness: Texas Man Embellished His Mall Shooting Story to Push Gun Control
You likely heard some of Steven Spainhouer’s accounts of what he said he witnessed upon arriving on the scene of the shooting at a shopping mall in Allen, Texas on May 6th. It was a gruesome, heart-wrenching tale that the apparent former Army officer and self-proclaimed “gun lover” used to get a message out to the media. Messages like . . .
“When you get hit with an automatic weapon fire at close range, there is no opportunity for survival,” Spainhouer told MSNBC.

Gun control theater. Performative hoplophobia. Bread and circuses for the anti-gun industry. Those are a few descriptions that come immediately to mind for what a Florida member of the U.S. House of Representatives is engaging in with his introduction of a bill to ban semiautomatic gun sales to anyone under 25 year old.
Rep. Jared Moskowitz knows full well his bill has no chance of getting anywhere in the GOP-controlled house. He also knows that current laws banning gun sales to adults under 21 years old are being struck down in a number of courts across the country.
