Philly Mayor Kenney: Pennsylvania is Too Backwards to Enact Stricter Gun Control Laws

Fri, 09/16/2022 - 08:00

Kenney made the comments in response to an NBC10/Telemundo 62 question about his support of stricter gun laws and a shooting that happened at a school in the predawn hours of Wednesday morning.

“We’re not gonna get gun control in Pennsylvania. This is a backward state whose Legislature for the most part doesn’t care about the health and welfare of its citizens,” Kenney said.

Pennsylvania has a Democratic governor in Tom Wolf, but Republicans hold majorities in both the state Senate and House.

Another Win for Dick Heller: DC Repeals Limit on Rounds Carried by Permit Holders

Thu, 09/15/2022 - 10:20

Dick Heller has been a persistent thorn in the side of District of Columbia’s anti-gun government and police department for well over a decade and good on him for it. The 2008 decision in Heller v. DC is a Supreme Court landmark that clarified, finally, that the Second Amendment protects the individual right to keep and bear arms. Yesterday, Heller struck another slightly less momentous blow for gun rights in the District.

MURDER CITY: Shots Fired Across the Street From Set of Chicago Fire Production Set During Filming

Thu, 09/15/2022 - 10:00

Young criminals with guns run the show in Chicago. Between the Soros-funded prosecutor Kim Foxx decriminalizing crime, the state’s decarceration policies, and Mayor Lori Lightfoot defunding and denigrating the local police, the bad guys victimize people with impunity. As Tucker Carlson says, “it’s what the collapse of civilization looks like.”

How bad is it in Chicago? On Wednesday afternoon, gunfire broke out across the street from the Chicago Fire television show production set directed at a group of people nearby.

Anthropologic Inquiry: The New York Times Wants to Talk to First-Time Gun Owners

Thu, 09/15/2022 - 08:00

“Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable!” “Speak truth to power.” Those are allegedly a couple of the credos of the modern journalist. So imagine our surprise when we heard that the ink-stained stay-at-home wretches at The New York Times want to venture into the unknown and talk to some of the 10 million or so people who have bought their first gun in the last couple of years.

From their perspective on the west side, why any sane individual would choose to buy a firearm is downright puzzling.

Imagine a single American city that in less than nine months tallies more homicides than 32 entire states had in all of 2020. That’s Chicago. Otherwise known as Chiraq, or Mogadishu on Lake Michigan. This past weekend, Lori Lightfoot’s domain blew past the 500th homicide total for the year and stands at 504.

Civilian Disarmament Chronicles: The State of Biden’s War on Guns After 18 Months

Tue, 09/13/2022 - 14:00

By Lee Williams

The Biden-Harris administration’s war on guns is the most comprehensive and multi-faceted gun control scheme ever created.

Former Obama national security advisor Susan Rice, who has admitted meeting with gun control groups regularly at the White House, likely drafted most of the plan.

Under Rice, the administration nimbly exploits any anti-gun gain, while quickly pivoting away from pushback from the media, the public or Congress.

By design, most of their gun control agenda skirts any oversight – legislative or constitutional – and is immune from other normal checks and balances.

Tue, 09/13/2022 - 08:00

It’s been less than a month since new federal rules took effect attempting to rein in the proliferation of so-called “ghost guns,” a catchall term for unserialized, home-built firearms that Democratic leaders, law enforcement officials, and gun control groups say are turning up in the hands of criminals across the United States.

But barely a few weeks into the new regulatory regime, the firearms industry has already adapted and scored an early legal victory.
